It's a heart wrenching thing that this show was cancelled when it was soooo sooo good. I still get a little misty when I do my Firefly marathon every year.

I thought the movie was too forced....they tried to fit too much into 1 movie. I call trilogy!

I came late to the Firefly thing. Never saw it while it was in production, but I did buy the DVD set and also have the Serenity DVD. I liked many aspects of the show but found myself a bit put-off by its overly(IMO)-Western/Cowboy feel.

Definitely agree with this. I love Firefly as much as the next sane person, but Serenity felt like one gigantic compromise. For any fans of the show who haven't seen it, I'd recommend Cowboy Bebop, it has a very similar feel. I typically don't like anime but once someone made the Firefly comparison, I had to watch, and I enjoyed it quite a bit.
