Which was your Favorite Star Wars Episode?

Pretty simple really, which Episode of Star Wars was your fav?

To help, here is a quick explanation of each one.

I) The Phantom Menace: May 19, 1999
The film follows two Jedi Knights, played by Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor, who flee the planet Star Wars: Welcome to the Official Site with the planet's queen in the hope of finding a peaceful end to a trade dispute. Along the way, the ship must stop for repairs on the planet Star Wars: Welcome to the Official Site, where the Jedi encounter Anakin Skywalker, played by Jake Lloyd, a young slave boy who is unusually strong with the Force. When the group returns to Naboo, they realize that the situation is much worse than they thought—the evil Sith have returned.
II) Attack of the Clones May 16, 2002
The film is set ten years after the Battle of Naboo, when the galaxy is on the brink of civil war. Under the leadership of a renegade Internet Nebraska named Count Dooku, thousands of solar systems threaten to secede from the Galactic Republic. When an assassination attempt is made on Senator Padmé Amidala, the former Queen of Star Wars: Welcome to the Official Site, 19-year-old Jedi apprentice Anakin Skywalker is assigned to protect her, while his mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi is assigned to investigate the assassination attempt. Soon, Anakin, Padmé, and Obi-Wan are drawn into the heart of the Separatist territories, and the beginning of a new threat to the galaxy, the Clone Wars.
III) Revenge of the Sith May 19, 2005
The film is set three years after the onset of the Clone Wars; the noble Jedi Knights are spread out across the galaxy leading a massive clone army in the war against the Separatists. After Chancellor Palpatine is kidnapped, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his former padawan, Anakin Skywalker, are dispatched to eliminate the evil General Grievous. Meanwhile, Anakin's friendship with the Chancellor arouses suspicion in the Jedi Order, and dangerous to the Jedi Knight himself. When the sinister Sith Lord, Darth Sidious, unveils a plot to take over the galaxy, the fate of Anakin, the Jedi order, and the entire galaxy is at stake.
IV) A New Hope May 25, 1977
Set far in the past, the movie tells the story of a plot against an oppressive Galactic Empire by a group of freedom fighters known as the Rebel Alliance. Seeking to make their authority absolute the Empire has recently completed its ultimate weapon: the Death Star, a moon-sized battle station capable of destroying a planet. Even so, spies have managed to obtain schematic plans of the station in the hope of finding a weakness. Rebel Leader Princess Leia Organa is racing to transport these plans to the rebel base when her ship is attacked and she and the crew are captured by Imperial forces. In a desperate attempt to complete her mission, Leia hides the plans within one of her two servant androids and records a quick message to former military general and rebel symapthizer: Obi-Wan Kenobi. Explaining her circumstances she begs Kenobi see that the plans are delivered safely to the base. The androids are then launched, in an escape pod, to Obi-Wan's home planet of Tatooine, where they come into the possesion of teenaged farmer, Luke Skywalker. The secret message is soon discovered and Skywalker sets off to locate Kenobi and find a way to help the Princess.
V) The Empire Strikes Back May 21, 1980
The film is set three years after the destruction of the Death Star. Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Princess Leia are being pursued by Darth Vader and the elite forces of the Galactic Empire. While Han and Leia are chased across space by the Empire, Luke studies the Force under Jedi Master Yoda. Vader is secretly plotting a trap for Luke that will lead to a vicious confrontation and a shocking revelation.
VI) Return of the Jedi May 25 1983
The film is set about one year after Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Luke Skywalker and members of the Rebel Alliance travel to Star Wars: Welcome to the Official Site to rescue their friend Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt. Meanwhile, the Galactic Empire is planning to crush the Rebel Alliance with a more powerful Death Star while the Rebel fleet simultaneously prepares to launch a full-scale attack on this new space station. Luke confronts his father, Darth Vader, in a climactic duel before the evil Emperor Palpatine.

I chose Episode 2, as I really enjoyed the massive Clone battle at the end. Not to mention Yoda fighting, it was as awesome as I imagined it would be. I remember the entire theater going crazy during that scene.

Re: Which was your Favorite Star Wars Episode?

It would have to be the original which is now called IV I guess. This is the one that made it all happen and changed the whole movie business. This is the one that launched the whole space combat genre in gaming. The magic they created by using everyday looking people to play the pilots and heroes of the rebellion is what endeared it to the average person. The whole series lost something when they started bringing in all the pretty faces and well known actors to fill the secondary roles.

Empire, the so called "dark" one. Its the one least tainted by Lucas. It doesn't end on a high note either. Han is captured, Luke gets his sword swinging hand chopped off and finds out the biggest dick in the universe IS his father. But its just cool.

Well I think I would have to go with Episode 3 if There wasnt the stupid NOOOOOO and if Hayden could act just a little better, in the intense scenes

Re: Which was your Favorite Star Wars Episode?

I like Episode I because of Darth Maul
Wasn't really a fan of episode 2
Episode 3 had Emperor vs Yoda didn't it?
Episode 4 for the classicness, and what jump said.
Episode 5 I really wasn't all that impressed with
Episode 6 - Leia as a bounty hunter, Luke as not a pansy, Leia in a metal bikini, the speederbikes, storytime with C3PO, and good ole darth coming back around

Re: Which was your Favorite Star Wars Episode?

Definitely Ep. V which should have been the last Star Wars movie, too. For me it's all going down when those Ewok-Carebears get introduced just to totally screw it up with a character like the JarJarBings thingy in Ep. I.
