No freaking wonder it won't run on my machine which happens to be Win2k. Just call me Sherlock.

Man I thought I was the last win2k holdout when I made this new system last summer. I feel for you man. Even though that turned out to be one of the best versions of Windows ever, it's time to move on dude.

I loaded 2k onto my 800 mhz laptop, to save system resources a bit, but, that's not a comp I use for gaming either. Both my desktops are XP. I don't forsee getting a machine that could even handle Vista any time soon, so I'll still be 2k and XP for a long while. XP on my main comp(s) and 2k on support comps is the way to go! (For people who have to use hand-me-downs).

I just don't see a whole lot of difference between NT 5.0 and NT 5.1 (2k and XP). Not enough to warrant spending $85+ on a 6.5 year old OS when my 9yo OS is doing just fine. Or rather, fine until this. It's almost got to be some .dll that 2k is missing somewhere...

I'll have to see if my XP laptop's wimpy graphics card can run TKD. Doubtful though, it's a turd Radeon X200M with shared mem.

well, for me, the only reason for xp is for gaming compatibility. If I did nothing but word processing and internet surfing certainly no need for xp. However, it seems that most games less than ~5 years old you need xp to run without really knowing how to mess around with a computer.

I've been brushing up on my Portuguese (using babelfish) and searching the forum. But I still can't tell if anyone else has the game running on Win2k. I'd like to know if there is any hope of ever getting it to run on my desktop.

An admin posted that they are checking the problem, but no one has answered the question about if anyone is using Win2k with success. *shrug*

Win2k is just a whole different animal. Have you updated DX9 and all? I only ask because of the title of this thread.

Had dx9.0c before. Just did a reinstall of 9.0c since I had also done a new Nvidia driver yesterday, along with new java (what's up with using java in a real application?). Also TDK patched (a fairly big one), so I was sort of hopeful. But no love for the Win2k.
