The author of this code hasn't been seen on his site since mid December. Yes I gave money to a missing person just to get the code base. I can fix anything but I'd rather not create that much code from scratch for myself.

also is there any way to make a class within a post, or do you have a list of classes that are around somewhere? the tborder class works...so I was wondering what other ones were predefined.

I'm going to have a lot of problems contributing if everything I post gets deleted, particularly the stuff I spent 30 minutes trying to format in a decent manner.

Well format it in a text editor and save it. Sitting there doing it in a forum is kind of hard. My test user with all your settings works fine. Log out and delete your session cookies and log back in.

I want the look to be uniform for all topics.

The reason I did this are several.

Wiki's are a dime a dozen. They all look the same.

This is a forum and I hate sites that are built around a forum and get all non-forumy. Yes I made up the word but I have worked on a ton of sites and I have seen how people just go too far into the stuff that is not their forum that they lose many of their forum members.

So, this wiki style is more natural to a forum. And people should be able to find stuff just like they do in any other forum here. No learning curve.

I fell in love with the wiki post idea when they added it to slickdeals.net last year. I tried getting them to tell me how they did it but they wouldn't. I found something close and altered it for my use. Everyone cried fowl over there and predicted abuse. Now, it's part of program there and it is used in every thread. No more complaints over there.

I started some topics already but it only works if you guys learn to use it and add to the wikipost.

Yeah, but what about the css question?

If you could set up some classes for tables and such it'd save a metric butt-tonne of work for anyone using the wikithing as far as formatting goes. I'd gladly do it, but I suspect you'd want it a certain way.

I want it uniform. You can view the CSS here to see what classes are already available. It's best not to make it too complicated. Plain text is a great source of information.

I think I'll just keep posting in the other threads, and you can transfer the information to the wiki the way you want it to appear. I think we disagree far to much to collaborate on this one.

Ok thanks then but I will be removing those forums soon. I will not have ten different sources of information. If you won't help simply because you have to do it my way then that's fine too. I kind of figured you would say that.
