squad vs corp

Could someone tell me what the diff is? I don't see any squad info other than chat, while I do see a good bit of info about corps.

Jump

Squad is just a temp chat you can setup for a small group. It also let's you monitor the shield armor level of others in the temp squad. Which is good for battle situations. You can see when they launch or go to cruise speed. You can even see what systems they have installed.

Hurricane

corp = jumpgate squad basically. Everyone has the same tag.

Squad is temp like jump explained. The added bonus is everyone in the same temp squad have the same blue indicator on the hud. This is good also for detecting possible hostiles that jump into your sector as they show up as orange on the hud. Squads also have their own chat which is green, good for chatting away while mining if corp chat is busy with battle operations of just full of other chit chat.

Squads have a bug though. If someone leaves the squad, it may cause a problem when you dock where you can not see the buttons to access your cargo, storage, ship, etc. Simply launch, makes sure the buttons are showing as you dock again.

Sounds like a good ol' gank fleet battle f5 to me, with the bonus of color coordination.

CoH and WoW. I think it also let's you know what buffs or debuffs are applied to yourself and others, and I'm pretty sure the icons on the left "square,x, or diamond" indicate in-flight, docked, and maybe in-flight in the same sector.
