Taikodom Online

Hey Fellas, my name is ASharpe, I also go by Akula (my IRL name is Mark, but who the hell uses their IRL name on the internet?).

I just wanted to drop by to say hey. I've been playing Taikodom since sometime in October, one of the first American (English-speaking) players in the game. I can be found hanging out on IRC.

I also host http://taikodom-america.com/ which is offline at the moment. It'll be back up sometime this week with an actual frontpage. We were going to be using PHP Nuke, but decided to shift that for a variety of reasons.

Additionally, I'm the host of the Taikodom Wiki you guys have found already (How I will never know). It's link is here:

Main Page - Taikodom American Wiki

I'd like to formally invite EVERYONE to come help us fill out the WIKI. It's been neglected for quite a while. If you've never edited a Wiki, this is your chance to contribute in a sandbox environment free of hardcore nuts.

I'll also be setting up some Forums (in English) as a rallying place for Taikodom American players, since (with the exception of what we have here) most of the sites/forums are in Portuguese. So you're all inviting to come on over there, too.

I look forward to seeing you guys in game!

Re: Taikodom Online

As much as I appreciate your offer to come to your forums, I think I will remain here at this rallying place of most of the english speaking TKD players.

There are many resourceful people here, that are great at finding the information needed for new games. I will try and help contribute to the Wiki that you are hosting.

Aye, I had the same problem when I signed up some three months ago, I think there was just one other english-speaking player in the game.

I'm glad to see the English community expanding.

Yeah actually looks like it TKD could be a very good global game at some point.... They still need to work on the buggy UI

And I think they need to look at limiting the size of corporations so that you can enjoy some corporation diversity. Having a giant corporation has some very negative connotations that can expose the game to a lot of stuff business-wise and game-wise.

Re: Taikodom Online

Although your idea is good in theory Tstrike, limiting sizes of corporation is really an impossible task. Corp 1 gets full, you just make corp 2 and they still work together and act as one.

What they really need to do is make sure when the game goes GOLD that lots of people know about it and try out the game. If there is only 100 players or so then 1 giant super corp will be a problem that will ruin their game.
