I can't sell at any station without a mission? The station has no missions it's empty. The game needs a lot of work. I'm not sure how early on this is but it has a ways to go.

jump, i think the planets going elliptical is a FOV issue, as you can see the same effect even in their 4:3 videos.

also, i had similar problems trying to figure out where to sell stuff. hopefully this will be made clearer in later revisions of the game.

BORGUE: thanks for the info. if i ever get the game to load again without GPF'ing, i'll give that a try. =)

it's good to know that most of my concerns are already going to be addressed.

Not true

You can sell at 3 stations in 3 sectors....

In order to get missions you will need to talk to Isis in Selene. She will give you your first set of missions in Lua. Each stations has a set of missions and as you progress you will venture to different sectors to get even more higher level and higher paying missions. Borgue probably has to explain this better than I can.

There is a different economic mechanic than the one we are accustomed to in Jumpgate (which is refreshing). I probably have NOT done a good job explaining to you guys but when we get in game I will train you guys up.

You start at Selene (if I remember)... you get missions from Isis

Dont worry I will mentor you .... after that Jump you will see how simple things are....

My priority is to get you situated to the game and then get you tow equivalent ship.

Jump, when you get back in, click on the 'Agent' button that looks like a '!'. If you're at the start station, there is an agent named Isis (which is a robotic/ai type creature, so i'm not really sure if it's a she or not). The missions it gives are fairly simple, though the ones requiring the blowing up of drones are kind of a PITA until you get used to the different flying/aiming/shooting characteristics of the game. After that, Isis will tell you to go to earth to a station in what seems to be Low Earth Orbit. I can't think of the name off the top of my head, but it's a training academy. There is a woman there under the agents button that will give you further missions. I can't tell you any more, since that's as far as i've gotten. I have flown as far as Mercury, and Borgue gave me cash to buy a new ship, which is sweet. Thanks Borgue! Even if you did shoot at me (not to kill, he wuz messin with his noob).

On the way there, I passed through Venus, and did see Eden, though I didn't dock there. That is one of the places that you can sell on the market freely. From what I understand, you can sell commods, etc. either a) if you have a mission for it, or b) you are at one of 3 free market locations.

Hope that helps. I spent the evening (and way too much time) playing Old School WC: Privateer, via DosBox and my nostalgic CD-ROM that I've kept for probably 10 years now, just in case I get a comp i can run it on. Sad to say, I have a better time flying/aiming/etc. in it with the keyboard, than I have in Taikodom. I'll have to try Taikodom with a JS next time I play and see if it makes things any better for me. But, since TStrike3 is using mouse, I'm not holding my breath.
