And that's why it would be unwise for them to leave it open. It would make it too easy for people to say, I don't like this or that I am going to go back. Let's face it, we will all find something we don't like about Jumpgate Evolution as we do with all games. No reason to make it easier for old timers to give up on the new game. I think Scorch was being emotional and not practical there.

you realize that you took the word "owned" that was a response to a response of your post and from that simple, mono-syllabalic retort you have concluded that all EU/OV players are elitists with anti-social complexes. Kind of painting with a broad brush, no?

Perhaps you should try being serious for a change then? Since no one ever seems to get your so called "humour". For the record, a lot of humour, especially sarcasm, does not translate well over the internet. You'd do yourself well to learn this fact of life.

We had to get machines for Jumpgate Classic at the new site because we certainly weren't going to physically move a bunch of old PIIIs to San Francisco.

Scorch has publicly stated that NetDevil has no intention of turning off Jumpgate Classic. I would have to assume that only if it becomes totally obvious that there is no point in continuing to run Jumpgate Classic that we'd shut it down.

Thanks for the links, guys! Looks like there is not going to be an "End of Days". Perhaps Jumpgate Classic will become a proving ground for programmers and GM's-in-training for NetDevil. It would be fun to be constantly getting fresh perspectives!
