They had their chance....
There's a lot of new stuff that came with the patch, and a lot of things have changed. That was pretty simple to adapt to for squads like Solidarity and OV, because the patch contains factional conflict based on the military.
However, for squads like balrog, it wasn't so simple anymore. Now, I am under the impression that after the next patch, pilots will be able to fly in the military of factions other than their own (I hope it takes them off our F1 if they do, and that their dot color on radar changes), even for Hyperial. In the meantime though, the balrog people need to find a way to fight.
I've been told since the incident, that pirate tagged people can shoot any MT, so that's probably the best option for them in my opinion.
Anyway, since they were in the spot they are their sol military members were in close proximity to me in reg space last night, and even though one of them was bountied I didn't shoot. I'm only pretty-sure the bountied guy would have been a non-demerit rip, since he was still sol military and the bounty was an oct one.
That was their chance. However, when other Solrain military showed up they engaged them and lost their chance.
I'd like to personally apologize to any of my enemies that felt giving those guys a fair shake was a bad thing to do. I'm sorry you feel that way. They might or might not deserve a fair shake, but in the end they are Jumpgate players, and I'd give any Jumpgate player one chance at redemption (even Rollio) when there is a patch that changes things on this kind of magnitude.
This post represents my personal views and not necessarily the views of the rest of Solidarity
