help on setting up a poll

Okay, I know this is JSR and NOT JOSSH, but most of you folks hang out at JOSSP or are at least familiar with it, and are more knowledgeable than I on most things anyway. I want to do a Poll on JOSSH with six questions but I'm not at all sure how to go about it. I hit the poll button w/6 questions specified, but nothing changed. I want to do as good a job as possible when I post it over there, so I figured I'd ask how over here.

first half: How often do you fly non-combat ships?
1) Frequently (over 50% of the time)
2) Occasionally (25% to 50%)
3) Seldom (less than 25%)

second half: How often do you fly looking for combat?
1) Frequently (over 50% of the time)
2) Occasionally (25% to 50%)
3) Seldom (less than 25%)
How do I go about it folks? I'd really appreciate some help on this set of questions.

Bah, if you post there I can't respond
Btw, the 5v5 you talk of resulted in 1 dead from each side, myself and grievious. The nasty sols came in and chased away the rest when all remaining pilots were low on ff's:P
Heresay is a horrible thing

Al

That's as ignorant as saying combat pilots need to mine to relax a bit, just think of the roids as quants that hold still.

P.S.
WB, there's a button labeled f.a.q. at the top of the jossh forums, where I found this info:

You may notice that some threads on this board also include a section where you can vote on an issue or question. These threads are called 'polls' and this is how to create them:

To create a poll when you post a new thread, simply click the 'Yes! post a poll' checkbox at the bottom of the page, and set the number of possible responses you want to include.

When you click the submit button, you will be taken to the poll creation page, where you can specify the question and the list of responses you want to include.

You may also want to specify a time limit for the poll, so that (for example) it only stays open for voting for a week.

Grim, I thank you. Al, your criticism is to the point. I was going on what I was told by someone who allegedly was there and saw it, but I won't name them.

Had a long f4 talk with -Gothmog- yesterday. I'm not quite as rabidly opposed to balrgo as I was but I still think they are in violation of rule #22. If you would like, and I could do it, I would be glad to post the survey here as well. The reason for posting on JOSSH was merely to get my point across to THEMIS and ND.

I believe the poll will show that there are a lot more folks mining, hauling and producing in the game than most folks expect. I have always felt GM_Istvan's bent is too strongly towards the PvP aspect of the game. I don't know if anything will bring back the lost pilots, but I'd purely hate to see any more get driven off.

Balrog's core element are ok guys.
We regulary fight them while both outnumbering them and while being outnumbered. We both regulary wipe the floor with each other. I'd class them in an even fight as currently OV's toughest test on the server. It's true they do at times shoot cargo ships, but to suggest that is all they do is both very foolish and unwise.

Al

If it were an in-game poll, maybe. I think you find the majority of forum dwellers are looking for a fight, in-game and on the forums.

Istvan was a cargo hauler as a pilot, not a pvper. He is trying very hard to make pvpers have something more interesting to do than shoot random carebears. I know for a fact that most pilots are not pvpers. Just look at the online numbers page and you'll see that it has always been 2-4* Civs over HG.

Which brings me back to my gripe with the test team. Blind leading blind.
Ist, never a pvp'er, with a team of ex or not uptodate pvp'ers producing a military patch.
Hard to tell who the sheep is really.
That felt goooooood.

Al, may I quote your comments on the balrog fight? Or would you prefer I just leave it alone?

Spork, on-line numbers are not all that meaningful. The only time I see B&C HG or Balrog is when they are bountied. Same/same for a lot of "bad guys". HG usually means "Honor Guard", not "I got caught civ-ripping a non-combat ship and have to work the bounty off".

I'm looking forward to the MilPatch although it's starting to feel just a little bit EP2-ish. As to GM_Istvan's bent, you make a good point. After all, he did give us the deep radar, the ML Amp, nerf the tow, polish the LF and MF and make them viable once more...

Quote away, I'm not entirely sure why, unless you are referring to some in my own camp that can't count either
