Need Help
Hi I need help getting Jumpgate installed.
Im sure my problem is system specific but am at a loss as to what to look for I am trying to install from JumpgateUS_Installer_10095-lite.exe when I execute the installer InstallSheild pops up and extracts the files then nothing, checking the taskmanager reveals that the installer is running but nothing happens, I have of course shut down my AV, firewall and other running apps ect, but still nothing. I even tried to install from my old 3Do disc and nothing, won't even click, nada. I have installed Jumpgate in the past on many different systems and never encountered this problem, anyone have a clue? My system: P4 3.00 HT Win Xp Home sp2 2048 DDR 512 Mb ATI x1600 pcie Creative Live 24 bit sound Thanks |

The 3D0 disk will certainly not get you back into space. It's updater looks for a server that hasn't been there for several years. Though trying it was helpful in that it means the problem isn't the installer file, but something else on your PC.
You might try installing it in safe mode with network support (then again without network if it fails) just to see if it's video driver/network related. Might also check your running process (not just running Apps in Task Manager) just to be certain AV isn't still up and hiding. But I think most modern AVs wouldn't block an installation. You should also try pilot_support@netdevil.com since they may have seen this issue before. |
