X52 Configuring
HEre is my problem. When I go into Jumpgate and start configuring the buttons, they show up on the configuration screen, but they dont work.
Do I need to map these buttons to emulate Keystrokes in Saiteks screen?. I cant get the Throttle (Forward and backward) to work. Various other buttons dont work either, though it shows on Jumpgates controls as being mapped. This is driving me nuts. Two hours so far. Thx all |

If I recall correctly, throttle worked directly through the Jumpgate config, but I had to set up the twist in my Saitek profile to get it to work correctly. I think there was something weird with Jumpgate where you had to select joystick mode and then exit the program and restart it in order for it to see the throttle correctly.

The throttle can be configured to work without any key mapping. You need to go into the Saitek profile settings, and change the setting for the throttle from Axis to Bands.
BTW, you are using your profiles, right? Also, there are two threads that I remember from the JOSSH :help section that might have a few pointers. They are here and here. |

I love the stick, but its driving me crazy. I will look at your pointers in a few. I wish there was a downloadable profile for Jumpgate, but I couldnt find any. |

Oh man, I can remember getting my boss hooked on that game. A bunch of us had to work one weekend, and in the middle of Saturday we broke out D2 for what was supposed to be an hour of LAN-based stress relief. We didn't stop until 8:00 PM, and that was just to order pizza. Good times....
