24hr log on day

Who would be interested in logging onto jumpgate on a chosen date and leaving yourself logged in for 24 hrs?

Why?

Why not?

We could see how many people we can get to log in at once and stay logged on for the whole day.

Sure it would mean alt-tabing and password protecting your computers log in to stop the cat/dog/budgie/baby taking your ship out for a 'spin' when you went to work/college/sleep/pub etc but for a pointless stunt it would be fun.

What do you think? Any suggestions for a date? Possibly 1 day un june would be good to give some notice and time for people to start training their budgie's to stay away from the launch button too

Just imagine 100 online folks, but all AFK... think that may be good?

It would be better if squad leaders instructed and talked with all their membership and assigned a squad day where the most would log in and actually be active (be that chatting or flying, but definitely not being AFK).

If we could get 5 pilots each online, and have the luck that it happens on the same day... it could really boost Jumpgate numbers and really have an impact on the game. Of course, this requires squad leaders to actually be an example and be active, and require precisely that of their respective captains and LT's.

I remember, when I was in OEC (Odiche was in OEC too) that we had a pilot manual in which it said that OEC was a highly active squad that require their members to be active. There was a provision for those that due to RL stuff could not be as active as the rest, but all in all it was expected of them (all) to be active and show up for squad missions... Id say this is why for the most part, we had a very good sized force to do missions into foreign space, which in turn proved to be fun, even to me (thought I always ended up dying the first).
