I'm just not going to give Alexander Macris the satisfaction of having me help him kill this game. Now if only I had some old buds to fly with.

Sadly, the majority of the old Jumpgates said it was their "time" to move on to many other games so I'm guessing that there won't be hundreds of players online in Jumpgate for another year or two. I don't hate the game in anyways but at least I'll keep at least one account active to see if any maricle happens.

So far as I've seen, the only commercially successful MMORPGs cater to carebears. EQ, UO, SWG, WoW. All of them are PvP free except in controlled locations. They also are all stat dependent. I'm going to be interested to see how Auto Assualt fares after 6 months. It's basically Jumpgate on wheels. GameSpy blundered when they called it the first skill-based MMORPG. That was Jumpgate AFAIK. But there is alot of interesting tech that would transfer to Jumpgate quite nicely if it is actually implemented. Save Jumpgate. I don't think you can. Unless you shut it down and build a new one. |

Jump I'm sorry if you felt I was advocating the silencing of any sector of the "community" because that was not my intent. I am simply tired of so many people spending endless time talking instead of doing. If everyone who "lurks" on this and other forums would play, we would not be seeing the low pilot counts. There certainly seem to be enough folks available to post on any given topic. I don't want them to quit talking, I just want them to get back to flying! Guess that shows that brevity was never my strong point.
Yes, there once were many more people playing than now; yes, the game is much better now than it was before, but there's just not enough people playing; yes, too many people with the ability to mess up our experience are doing so with either glee or a total absence of concern for the results, and whether I am speaking of the cheats like Unbreakable or Themis or any of their agents, etc.I am not stupid enough to critcise the people who can totally cut off my ability to play the only on-line game I've ever played or wanted to play. Anything done by human hands and minds can be improved on. Very few things exist that can NOT be made worse by someone acting in ignorance or with evil intent. I grew up in those hallowed ancient days when the expression was coined "You are either part of the solution or you are part of the problem". I see far too many posting who have already voted with their pocketbooks i.e. TRI-C. "They" have shown in the most tangible manner possible that "they" no longer wish to play or support the game, but feel fully qualified and justified to tear over the not-quite-dead carcass of the beast you once alleged to love. I like their words and actions no better than you care for my criticisms of their words. And Grim? I play as much as I can, as often as I can, balanced between the need to stay both healthy and employed. I've never quit, nor taken a vacation. The only time I was "out of the game" was last fall when I was in the hospital for 4 weeks and I was still paying for the game, flying or not. The only time I have been TRI-C was due to credit card problems and billing issues. So much for brevity |

No, seriously, you actually have to drive the car. She's supposed to have support for those steering wheel controllers. |

If you don't want it to be shown, go into the User CP and select "Edit Options". Near the bottom there's a field for "Jumpgate name?". Empty that, and click the "n/a" radio button for the server selection, and then your in-game activity won't be shown. |

He never mention not wanting it to be shown Nohbody. You're answering an un-asked question.
![]() Was it showing in-flight when you were not in game? That could be becuase JOSSH locked up while the script was running and your data got deleted. For some reason it defaults to inflight Pirate. ![]() I need to look into that. Oh so much to do, so little time. |

Well, I guess I'm out for awhile now. Money ran out and I have to scrounge up what I can to pay off this server(already 3 weeks overdue) before I can play any more games. My JOSSH access went today so I am banished to the wastelands again.
