After two years, now what?

Well I got me a sweet job and I started part time today (and until the week of Jan 9th when the person I'm replacing leaves I'll be working full time at the store and part time there), and after that I'll be working full time there and trying to keep 20 hours a week at the store until March unless I can convince my employer to kick in my new benefits early. It's a small company (40 employees) so there's the opportunity to level with the lady who owns the joint. With a 60+hr workweek until March (or until I burn myself out and give in to just buy some short term care) I'll have exactly 0 free time. So I might be backing out of my "end of January" commitment. I'll have to see how I feel/it goes.

There are 168 hours in a week. Work 60, that leaves 108 for Jumpgate and sleep -- no excuses!!!

Yep, athlete's foot of the mouth. It's amazing what a stroll down memory lane, via the PJG archives available from this site, can do.

Sad to say, The Drakhai don't exist on the US server, and odds are they won't for some time to come, at the least. (I hesitate to use "never return", as never is a long time, but it may well be appropriate.)

As for me? I'll probably come back in a few months, once Istvan's work has born some fruit (like big Flux changes, for instance.) Also, I'd like to see the news actually updated again.

The big trick for me, though, is money. Right now I really can only spread enough love around for one MMO at a time, and at the moment I'm afraid World of Warcraft wins that race. (Barely.) If I get a job or Jumpgate suddenly gets the sex, I'll be back.

Haven't talked with them in a while, actually, but last impression I got was that they'd rather gargle with rusty razorblades previously used in a prison than play Jumpgate. (I personally think they're bat-[excrement] insane for liking SWG over Jumpgate, but anyhow...)

drakhai.net is pretty much down, Tye's work was apparently getting itchy about "extraneous" stuff on their network.
