Another cool idea(fan cd).
How about making a fan made CD for Jumpgate?
We could probably have: * The main installation program. * Some gameplay videos recorded by brutus. * Or even some tutorial videos would help too! * A PDF with the ships advantages and disadvanges but I doubt I will see this because I will see that there may be some ship balance changes in the future. * 3rd Party tools for Jumpgate. * The original tutorial writtin in HTML on how to get started with Jumpgate. Well I still have the instruction manual from the old Jumpgate gamebox when 3DO published it. I wonder if retyping the whole thing out would be useful or not. Though I think I need netdevil's permission to do it. Anyways, what do you think about this idea? How much would it cost to make a fan CD? With DVD rewritables out there trying to make CDs obsolete, it should be cheap. |

Well, CDs are cheap enough to produce. And it's pretty cheap to mail stuff. I think you've got a winner of an idea here. Just also put it all online for download since a lot of people would rather anonymously download even a huge file than give out their home address to strangers. Definitely check with NetDev first though to see how they feel about it since some of the items on it would be their property (or possibly even 3D0's as fluid points out, however I'm betting 3D0 isn't in much of a position to care atm).
