Live Jumpgate data of individual posters in the Jumpgate forums. I added a new user field in your profiles. It's called Jumpgate player name. I allready set some of you. So check spelling and if you want your live player data available in your posts check your profile and fix or add your player name. Please do so if your are TRI class also. Then I can show that you are TRI Class.

I'll probably have the info as a clickable popup like the other Jumpgate data. Only it will be in your user info with each post. I am thinking it will just have a green "online" and a red "offline" as a clickable link to bring up the pop up. It will all be run by cron so there will be minimal added over head to the forum display.

This will also enable me to store the user data and use it in the pilot stats. I'll eventually add a check there to see if updated data is in the db and then call that instead of parsing JOSSH. Then just parse JOSSH for non member lookups.

Anyway, a new project to wash away the boredom.

For you code geeks. "ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE" is such a cool thing in the new mysql. It just saves so much effort on frequently updated data such as pilot info.

Well, since you asked... is there anyway to keep a record of the temporary titles? I was "Grand Master Assassin" once when I accidentally shoved a purgatory up Prophet's bountied tail pipe while he was running from someone else. So some little list of titles and the date they were "earned" would be nice. Doubt it could be retroactive, but I could be a title holder again for something sometime in the future.

Well, I need to keep this particular project down to basic pilot data. We don't wan't to overload the pages with too much data as our hundreds of users load these page.

But I've always wished JOSSH had some better tracking. I've had Exterminator of the void quite a few times.

So now what do you think would be good to track in there? Keep in mind the more we do the bigger the page gets to download. I'm still debating how to display the status message. The TRIC is set but I want the others to look similar but distinct. Maybe images would be cool. If only I had the talent to make them.
