OMG JONBOYYYYY Good to see ya bud.

I've tried many military missions. Pay and exp is nice. No launch fee for insurance is sweet as the military covers all the equipment in your ship. Hauling commods or equipment around I would probibly do civ, and it's nice that I can insure 75% of my cargo now. I'm not sure about the making enough cash as a military pilot, just depends on your level and how sucessful you are at your missions. I haven't tried the kill dirty octs mission yet to see the pay from that. And I'm not sure if you would make enough to pay someone to stock your station, grab the flight suit and come try it out.

I did tried "Kill smelly sols" and "kill stinky kwonts" missions and payots are qiute nice. Since it all started i could make around 20mil if i would deliever missions more often, but didin't want to take time from fights.

You can make a living as a Mil pilot. However, if you are unable to succeed in combat, you won't make enough to pay others to stock for you unless you fly a LOT of non-combat missions.

Jonboy: WoW is so last month. JumpGate is the new, hip place to be. All the cool people play JumpGate. I mean really, WE FLY SPACESHIPS after all!!!

PoS/LL 4 EVA!!!!!

Hey Jonboy... good to read you man!!!

IMO one of the best features is that enemy MTs can't dock at your factional stations. Some dont like this, but ultimately, allows for longer lasting supplies and equipment. While at war, the only ones that can dock at factional stations are civs and Im not sure yet if pirates.

Pay is good, Recon and Espionage missions pay well too, but is also riskier.

The money is good. I don't know about any other squads, but mine is debating homing from real stations again so that in the event of our demise we can grab new missions.

Back in the day....

I was a test-pilot when the idea of military tags was being dreamed up in Ist's head. IMO, the whole point is to stop pilots who want to fight from being forced into (say) mining to make cash. I want to know if that goal has been achieved. I honestly doubt it, as it is a VERY hard thing to achieve. However, it looks like Ist did put in some of the more zany/fun ideas for military missions. Are the rewards for importing foreign goods/equipment/ore while MT high enough to be either fun or worth the risk??

I hope so. Or at least that people have fun trying them .

And I won't be flying again any time soon. Sorry.

The main advantage of MT is 2 things (that I can think of)
- 100% insurance and not tied to your Insurance Rating, thus you lose less on death theoretically, haven't died yet lol so I will let the noobs help ya confirm it

- MT does have payouts like 100k + for a kill, but the other missions may be more rewarding, see above, I have yet to have the time to do missions, too busy fighting and avoiding a 600v craptor that chased me down and ended my will to relaunch into 8+ octs (wednesday)

I can just say if it wasn't you, quants maybe learned to fight a bit more and splash into stations less.
