The latest rounds of FMs have not been factional races in the traditional way FMs were. I'm not sure that the FMs even started at the same time. I don't remember what the Quant FM was, but it very well may have been for something more important (to those who do the most FM work...like non-factional econ workers) than the others. For instance, I think that the Hyp FM was completed and a half another one is done now compared to everyone elses 1 FM because the Hyps are building Nano Assemblers of bottleneck tier 1 items...and we know no one likes the Hyps.

As for the Oct and TRI missions to OC, we don't yet know fully how the recycling function of tooling centers will work...if we did know (and we liked it) then the FMers might push harder those.

As for Solrain...RBs are a joke for now. Maybe they'll have some value when factional warfare causes building damage more frequently than Sent attacks (been a long, long time since we saw a Sent), but only decent pay and factional loyalty have driven the Sol FM, IMO. That and to empty the queue for the Bomber FM after the patch hits.

I just spent the last few weeks on the oct/sol fm's (when I logged in that is) and watched some movies in jgrotpro at the same time because it yawned the hell out of me shunting along in my fr8r - but i wanted the cash. For now though even the thought of making credits couldnt drag me back to it.

Wow, Hurricane is back. Well I wish I could come back, but until they tie GM_K head to the lavatories toilet bowl in the escape pod and hit the eject button (i.e. fire his ass) I won't ever hear that welcome sound again.....oh wait I haven't looked in about 6 months and refuse to discuss Jumpgate with McPlowed anymore. Does GM_K still hold the tyrant controls to Jumpgate or has ND finally released he is the death nail in the game for certain people?

On a side note, about a week ago, I was in Target and what do I see, Auto Assault selling for $4.50. I felt bad seeing it that low. Then at Best Buy it was still 19.99. That made me smile until I informed the store manager that Target was selling it for $4.50 and I guess he called cause he tracked me down in the store and told me they would honor their price. I went to post this information on AA forums and foudn out someone else had found something better, I guess some company is giving the game away for free. Too bad for ND. They made a really good product, to bad they can't figure out that there is a lot of people into flying sim's that just are not into player vs player battles. I play Wow now. You can find me on there in the Feathermoon server characters name is Amerilise or Ambercrombie. My wife plays too when we can get the baby to leave alone.


........sigh I miss Jumpgate and the 4 hour restocks of Uranium from QC to OC (of course with the tow nerf it should read the 8 hours restocks)..........

Hey Hawlk!! It sure is good to see that your still around. I was gonna ask McP about you the other night, but he seemed a bit buzy planning some trouble against some trouble makers.

Last I read about GM_K is that he is missing in action. No one has seen him in a long while, and they are even asking where he went on the Jossh forums.

If for some reason I have to go try WoW, I will come look you up.

Hawlk, GMK is a great guy. Not sure what your beef is, but he's one of the two best community GMs we've had (the other being GM Omega).

He has been AWOL for a while though -- no idea what is going on there.

Then my god you must of had some crap GM's Im sorry but compared to the EU GM's he sucks.

He sucks because of what he has done or because he's not around? For the things he has done and for the way he interacts with the community, he's far better than Moll and nothing could be as bad as Trogdor who was on a permanent ego trip.

If you're saying he sucks because he's not around, then I don't know . . . I don't know where is is or whether the issue is Khronos or Themis . . . or even something else.

My point was that Khronos was a good guy when he is around compared to Moll and Trogdor.

Look i dont know the bolke in RL and he might be ok, and as for his absence he might have some real bad sh** going on. ( a simple post saying Im having some real bad RL sh** going on might help )


But as for the game, he somes ascross as having a God like complex, and as bit of a wan***, Im nor saying that the EU GM.s were all good but at least they had 2nd accounts in game and were active more than once in a blue moon.


Among other thing the complete and utter lack of any RP, again i quote from the FC forum.


Jumpgate desperately needs some RP. It's great to log in, let off some steam in fl*x space, chat with some friends, but once you hit opti there's no real challenge or variety!

I miss playing Jumpgate as regularly as I used to, but only for the social aspect. Since the EU server shut down the game has been left wanting.

It really isn't any wonder that numbers are dwindling. And that totally sucks.


If this game had somone that cared more about the game than his own ego then maybe we could have a FUN game with interweaving story lines that involes eveybody that wants to be involed, rather than his chossen few.


We have a whole bilibo system, that has a rich and diverse history and a huge resourse of thing to play with.


If he really is the best you have had for a long time then how you are all still here is beyeond me


I could go on and im sure in fact i know that im not the only one that feels this way. Look at the numbers look at the person that could do make things better and ask your self whats wrong with this picture. If that person made the effort and made things alive again then maybe just maybe people would come back to a place that is fun to be in.

If the issue is that there's not enough $$$ to pay him this month because subs are down, do you expect an announcement on that?

I have not idea what's going on. I agree that no news in two months is not good for the game. But I don't know that it should be blamed on GMK. In any case, the issue Hawlk had, I'm guessing, is much more specific and personal.
