With a niche game like this, "putting the game on shelves" is a huge waste of money. Without a publisher it won't happen -- and probably shouldn't happen even if there was a publisher.

Actually.. the game needs needs a lot more exposure on the net than just put the game on the shelf(which I have been trying to do for years).

Most of the returning players including me have wild dreams of having the online players back in it's hundreds and have the good old days to come back with different types of people from the ones 4 years ago but with that new military patch coming, I feel a lot skeptical about what will happen to what the players can or can't do in the future so.. time will only tell.

The best thing(or not really but just another idea) you can do now is, host some type of video recording/creating contest related to Jumpgate's gameplay and related stuff, and link the winning video to YouTube and/or any other video hosting site.

or they could be changing the client for jumpgate to allow for quake style combat when docked at stations...
