Yesterday I was thinking about one of my favorite Jumpgate memories, and after all these years I still got excited about it.

I was down in Quant space doing some bad things, when then Quants mobilized and sent enough ships chasing me that I decided to withdraw (low armor and at low AB fuel). I'd spotted them far enough away to have a slim chance of making it, so I kicked in the afterburner and headed for Gurge. This was before POSes (thank god!), so it was either EE or die. Several sectors came and went, the Quants slowly gaining on me, and by the time I was in Ring View my AB fuel was gone... Now they were really gaining on me. I knew I'd die in Gurge.

I jump into Gurge, the Quants less than 4k on my tail, and instinctively turn towards Oct Shore and apply throttle. But what's this? I've just jumped into the middle of an OEC Fleet!

So, the exact memory is me flying past each of you guys, and as I pass each of your nixes in a close line, you're firing RIGHT over my cockpit at the following Quants. You should've heard me cheering.

Funny how after all this time the random memories pop up, huh?

I have many memories too lol... the day Dr.Khronic and Im not sure who was with him, they were killing tows in the route to Sol Core (from Hyperial). I had a full load of dreams and when I jumped in sector I noticed both of them, they engaged 2 sol tows that were around there and I inmediately went deep and sending Maydays to the squad.

I remember that when I was 50k past Narrow Canal gate, one of them said... "Hey, where's the oct tow?" and I kept burning deeper and deeper. Stopped at 250k Karash and the boys dropped everything they were doing and came to the rescue, escorted me back home, safe and all that.

Yeah... very cool.

I also have many great and fond memories of OEC, and thats before I even joined them! I used to love how Karash would put down Tyke when I was in OSP. And then when I was the bad guy pirate whooping OSP into the ground, as soon as my bounty message would come up, a whole freaking fleet would corner me in to Oct space so I couldnt FLEEEEEEE. OEC was definitly the best Oct Squad of them all.

You know, it's funny... I think Miskugun was the only NE male rogue on the server whose inherent homosexuality made him more terrifying.

hahaha, being Misku must be great. We've all got him enshrined in our heads as a great mysterious floating God of Silent Death, like Shiva or something. I can't even refer to him directly.. I have to use third person because he's so ****ing scary.

The only Multiplayer games I'm playing now are Aces High II, and Red Orchestra. AH2 would be a pain for you, because you'd heave to learn ACM and there are no pilot nametags so you'd have no idea who I am. Red Orchestra is more do-able, though.
