Not that they had the common deceny to tell me what I said on a public channel that was offensive, what day even that I said it, or what account I said it in. I get the impression the powers that be are going to think we can't handle the new policy. The policy is fine. The way it's being impleted however, and the animosity the implementer seems to have for the Jumpgate community (and I think it's generally mutual) need to be looked at. I don't sense anything good coming of this without a change in the way things are going down.

This cracks me up to no end. Everyones in an uproar over that rude ass Trogdor. Of course, his behavior is not new. I went through all this a year ago. I didn't see cries for petitions then. Noone raised much hell when I got banned, for no good reson. In fact, most of you all defended and justified his actions. I won't mention any names on that one though.

GrimGriz, I mean this in the nicest possible way....I've never seen anyone follow and fawn over ND and Themis with such consistent and mindless devotion as you. If even you are getting warnings then perhaps SingleShot's statement has real merit. I have never seen anyone treat customers with more outright hostility and contempt than the ND/Themis crew. Who knows..maybe you slipped up and said "oh hell" or something equally appalling.

You haven't been paying very close attention then. I have no particular love for Themis. I disagree with what a lot of people say about certain things. For instance everyone says that TG killed ISU's FF RP. I think the way they ended it was stupid as hell, with the conflux attacking and making FF producing commods....but at the same time, everything before that seemed to validate that RP. I mean, they went as far as to give them -PR in Amananth. To me, ICly, that's saying Aman considered them a real threat, and validates the RP.

I have no love for Trogdor, and I think Jumpgate would be better off with someone else in his place. He's the reason I don't post on JGW after all. Khronos and Omega never gave me any reason to dislike them, save all the Easter Eggs Khronos left all over space. On the whole, I think Themis has done more harm than good to Jumpgate. If the money ND pays them would cover the pilot-support aspects, I'd like to see ND put in game storyline into the hands of people like Fence and Ambrosius.

I won't ever say anything bad about ND, mainly because Istvan is part of ND, and without Istvan I wouldn't be making this post. I've said it before, and I'll repeat it here - I think Scorch and everyone turning their backs on Jumpgate to make AA was crap, and I wish they hadn't. I think ND as a whole has mad a ton of bad mistakes regarding Jumpgate, going at least as far back as when they made the craptor thinking it would be the best bomber.

I love the game more than 'the community' but quite a few members of 'the community' like to mock me and treat me like chit, so that shouldn't surprise anyone. I also have my own opinions and don't blindly follow the 'OMG I hate them' bandwagon. If anyone honestly believes I don't think they screw up alot and blindly back every move they make, they are horribly mistaken.

Regarding the current situation, I think the penalties are too stiff (mute would be more appropriate), the implementation sucks (they should tell you what you did in violation), Trogdor should be replaced (someone in his position should make every effort not to be rude, he does the opposite). At the same time, I think :chat had turned into a cesspool and something needed to be done about it.

A couple of weeks ago we were showing 80+ online during prime time. Now we're mid-20s. This is REAL bad.

What's really sick is that the game itself is the best it's ever been. Granted, the econ still needs tweaking, but the pvp ships are pretty well balanced, the non-pvp ships are starting to head that way. Mining isn't a waste of time anymore, equipment tax is gone so you can stock factional stations without a loss, cargo smuggling is in the works and the flux are being made to suck less.

Despite all that now is the time the core group so to speak is bailing on Jumpgate. Yeah, Trog pissed in your cheerios, he did mine too. I wonder, out of all the people quitting and going to EU, how many took the time to shoot an e-mail to scorch and archon about what's going down. I figure scorch has his hands full with AA, and probably won't know anything until the next time numbers roll out. When they do, he'll probably just pull the plug on the US. Goodgame guys, you let Trogdor win.

I think you have too much faith in Archon. You also seem to think they are pulling the plug on the game. Maybe they are just pulling the plug on the beta testing and plan to actually go retail. LOL

Seriously though, I got the impresion when this all started that they may have been seeking to republish and got spanked by interested parties. The money world is not a game and you must meet requirements or fail. Maybe you are looking at it backwards. Maybe they are about to plug the game in, not pull the plug. Stop looking at it from a player perspective. It's a bussiness, nothing more.
