JPR Schedule Oct. 4-10, 2004
Sorry it's late people...
BROADCAST SCHEDULE - TIME: 9pm to "after" 9pm Ekoo's
BROADCASTER: The Crazy Coyote
SHOW DESCRIPTION:
The way it works is this: you retire, you hang up the microphone and headset, you storm out
the door claiming you'll only come back on rare occasions, and... you come back two weeks
later. That's not to say this is a regular thing, but after two or six vigorous back-rubs,
we at JPR have managed to convince his Craziness to open up the Cabana Room for another of
his popular broadcasts. Listen up folks... I think this time it's personal.

"What's with the plunger?" -unver, his first day at JPR
NEWS- JPR is proud to announce the purchase
of a new domain. Please visit www.jumpgatepirateradio.com for excitement.
- Pilot RaiderOne has donated the use of a new hosting box for JPR's exclusive use. This
server has the listening capacity for several hundred simultaneously listeners, at
much higher streamrates. He has courteously given us the ability to feed three individual
streamrates through this server, and we can therefore offer both a higher quality stream,
and a full-time dial-up stream. We are, in fact now limited by our DJ's upload speeds. See
Servers #2, #3, and #4 below.
- Server #1 continues to be donated to JPR by Claylacy Aviation, courtesy of the efforts of
pilot LupinOne. No matter how the evolution of JPR proceeds, the claylacy server remains an
essential part of JPRs history and we will never be able to thank LupinOne enough for its
availability.
- JPR is recruiting for additional on-air DJ staff. If you're interested in running a show
of any sort, visit our web site, sign up our forums, and post in the JPR Recruitment thread.
Other staff positions are available as well.
- Broadcasting is going to use the MP3Pro format. All players capable of decoding mp3 will
be able to listen to this format. However, installing an MP3Pro decoder will allow better
quality sound over lower bandwidth streams. JPR may experiment with streamrates over the
next few broadcasts, but installing the MP3Pro plugin for WinAmp (link at bottom of
CONNECTION INFO segment) should be harmless, and will result in a better listening
experience.
