Fly safe, everyone. I'll post some news in the next week about our plans for a Jumpgate Classic patch.

As I love speculation and antici
pation.

If you could have things altered in Jumpgate with a patch to suit you, what would they be?

Here are my own wishes for what a Jumpgate Classic patch would bring;

1)The three factions Tows un-speed-nerfed.
2)Vantage ammo counts increased +30
3)Nuke payouts for hits against Hives/Infests increased to cover missile costs.
4)Hive regeneration altered to 1 hr (an increase from 20 mins).
5)Ammo reloading size 2 drop tanks.
6)Solrain Hminer size 1 gun slots increased to size 2.
7)Hive globules weapon altered to plasma.
8)Missions FROM unreg stations.
9)Non anomaly sector spawns halted for 1 hour when all killed.
10)Randomised 'end of level baddy' C# flux generation to signify ^ (if its not killed, sector continues to spawn).

That is my magic list, what's yours?

Re: Jumpgate Classic patch

Just about anything to keep the PvPers' happy without increasing my insurance costs

I spend so much time checking the forums I seldom have any left over to actually get in the game. Plus with Jumpgate Evolution on the horizon it's hard to drag up the enthusiasm to log in and continue doing the same stuff I've done for the last 6 years. I know Istvan isn't going to be wasting any significant amount of programming time to do anything to our beloved Jumpgate Classic so it gets difficult to really care that much any more.

Plus I'm really active doing the yard work I've let slip for the last 6 years or so. Coincidence? I think not.

Re: Jumpgate Classic patch

I'd like to see NO time put in on a patch, and have some more GM involvement instead. I really miss seeing some of the Jumpgate "Characters" in-flight, acting the part and stirring up trouble. I'll never forget the night we flew with Brother Io. (I think that was his name).

Even a few infests/sent attacks would be fun. Forget the patch, bring on the events!

Or, the priority has been put on Jumpgate: Evolution and spare time is being put into Classic so it will take longer for the patch to come out.

Just to point out the obvious, they have been working on Jumpgate Evolution for 10 months (at least) and have only recently began posting solicitous type "feature requests" and artwork (half of which is concept). This says, to me, that Jumpgate Evolution will be lucky to hit beta in 8-12 months. Given that, they had damn well better not forget about Jumpgate Classic.

An interesting side observation:

Has there been any GM anything going on in the last 3 months or so?? I know the newest news as of last week was from June. It is almost as though Jumpgate Classic has been orphaned again.

Well there has been atleast one sent attack I think, a few FMs (one of which was actualy asked for) and numerous admin requests sorted. So I would say yes there has been GM things going on.

Not quite orphaned I dont think yet, but I have a feeling GM Thoth is the new single parent.

Re: Jumpgate Classic patch

y'know, it seems like the GM's are really busy right now. why dont some of you shoot an email to the GM's offering to help out in events and such, and for gods sake, we need more TRINN updates. the last one was over a month and a half ago i believe.

Only if you can guaranty that I get the credit for anything I do. Id hate to think I might do something or suggest something and not get credit for it, I would be mortified.
