Jumpgate Forum Style/Theme

I would like to start a discusion on a color scheme for these Jumpgate forums. I would like to set them to something distinct from the rest of the site. Something that says Jumpgate. So, any ideas?

I'd actually like to see them mimic the colors of JOSSH. It's not because they are attractive (they aren't), but because it's an obvious tie-in to the source topic. It doesn't have to be exact, just something that reminds you of the JOSSH colors (black, blue, white body text, yellow header text)

I agree with Galen that these forums should reflect the colors of the JOSSH forums. The current colors, while not objectionable, aren't Jumpgate-ish.

Of course, if we darken the main body of the page we'll have to change the color of the text in the spiffy new logo for these forums. *cough Fluid cough*.

Also to consider is buttons. Buttons buttons whose got the buttons?

Given a color scheme I will happily match the logo to it.
I actually spent a good 30 minutes trying to come up with my own color scheme to signify "Jumpgate". I gave up and went with matching the present blue. The problem is that Jumpgate has no distinct color that is common to all players of all factions, with the exception of maybe pink for the flux and blue for the JGs. Pink looked like it hit every limb on the way down the ugly tree.

I can change the forums colors in seconds. The bigest problem is the graphics. Buttons, panel graphics etc.

I should add that Vbulletin has an graphic developers kit. I have no idea what it is but it sure looks usefull all ziped up on my hard drive.

I should probably actually open it and look at it. I'm sure it's full of layers and more layers of al that graphical stuff.
