Much as I failed to reintantiate Smegit via a credit card, I've found it is really easy via pay by cash. Why would that be????

Anyways, i've pretty much decided on the X52 joystick. Not that I need state of the art, it would just look good in my new minimalist bacholar pad (you know, cd, amp, big speakers, four guitars, beer fridge, laptop and nothing else, man, life is good )

Anyone wish to disuade me from that choice? Or use one and have a good config? Any info would be good. I dont generally fight (tho that may change).

Also I've been away a long time, over a year. What major changes have happened, ore (spelling mistake intended) should I just suck it and see? Its just that it would be weird coming back as a "know nothing" opti.

Also I play on a widescreen laptop at 1440 by 900 pixels resolution, can Jumpgate live with that?

My only suggestion would be to look into buying it through this website, as if you do it help's support this community and the fancy tools you'll find in the "Jumps Tool Shed 'forum'". Also, don't wig out when it appear the throttle doesn't work. There are ways around it.

Without knowing what things were like when you left, it's hard to say. Since you mentioned ore, it's mine only now (except for nanos: cesium in aman, magnesium in hype, carbon and nitro in kh).

Insurance is way different now, you should read that.

HG is no more there's factional militaries and unreg. The military stuff is being added in two parts apparently. The part we've already got lets you do military for your faction, the next patch is supposed to allow privateering (i.e. quants joining the oct military).

Since you're an opti you can use these commands.

and uh....F1 is galaxy wide depending on beacon status now.

I don't think so, I don't recall any widescreen options. Good luck with that. Hopefully you'll be able to play, but I suspect if you can there will be little black borders you have to deal with.
