Life has rules. We don't like them all, be we are accountable for them all. I don't like stoping at stop signs either, slows me down. However, you won't hear me yelling and griping to the cop when he writes the ticket. Follow the rules there, here, and everywhere and you will never have troubles. It's part of living in this world.

I for one don't want to see or hear foul and immature language. It doesn't add anything useful to any aspect of life. Whether it's gaming, work, or anything I might do for leisure.

Most people feel the same way and will never post here about it or tell you about it. They will simply stop coming around. That's how most have left this game. They left without a word because they didn't like being here, for whatever reason. Wether it was in forums or in game.

There is no such thing as blurting out an expletive in text because of a sudden happening. You have to actually type it, so it's within your control not to.

Too many people want to endlessly have something to say and must resort to profane filibuster and senseless babble to fill in the gaps of valid content.

Profanity is not acceptable in most social situations in the US. Deal with it. The constant whining is making people want to quit. Including me.

Uhh... the problem with telling us to use 3rd party forums is that some people still get banned for comments made on 3rd party forums.

Then don't make comments that can get you banned on public forums. Seems simple to me. Some things are best left to private conversation. Or better yet, never said at all.

IIRC this thread was not about abusive language at all, but about the fact that threads were closed without good reason to do so.

If if is ND's/Themis' policy to keep the "Plot and Event discussion" thread free of any unrelated topics (which is their good right and even makes sense as such), then perhaps they should consider installing another board where people can post game-related, in-character stuff.

You can post in-character stuff in the Plot/RP forum. You just have to STAY IC when posting there.

ND/TG Loosened up a bit by letting that combined "Hello/Welcome Back" thread exist for a while. The circumstances at that time were pretty extraordinary, and so they bent the rules a tad. But some people started to take that as a permanent loosening of the rules, and posts were made that were not at all IC. So along comes Thorn to remind everyone of the way it is supposed to be.

Themis did nothing wrong this time, surprisingly. I just find it funny that every time they have to reign in the public, they create a new GM so that the existing ones don't lose any ground they may have made with the public

How many GM's are required to moderate forums with community so small as this? Unless he is replacement for GM_RazorX.

I would prefer another GM in-game if you ask me.
