Hello all:

Good to see that you guys are still out there, somewhere

Jump: Many thanks for keeping your tools alive man, they are still the best. I love to use the Production Lister a lot and to check my POS floorspace too, so keep it up (It would be awesome to see you in game too)

IMO, about the thread, is not only the sols who are missing, the octs are too. I would easily argue about the lack of factional carebears too, on both, but I wouldnt say that its truly about that. I miss the ol' days of G.O.D., Arcadians and MACK around (and the small SR team that was really active).

I think the most we can do, right now, is to keep ourselves active, and do our greatest efforts to keep our pilots there as well. Vorlon's idea wasnt that bad, but having 100 pilots online and AFK is not what we need, what would be great, instead, is having a squad day in which many of the pilots join together, that would boost numbers in one night.

Anyways, wanted to say hi also, and I'll try to be more active here as well

No flames during beta.
I'll not openly mock you here and point out how wrong you are.
I'll just make this obviously sarcastically abusive comment instead.

Regards
Al

And as you do quite often, depending on what your motive is, that's a missquote.

There were plenty of flames in beta. But there was still a spirit of cooperation. What killed Jumpgate was the attitude of "me myself and I".

I guess I wasn't clear enough. There is significantly less flaming bitching and what not on beta boards. Far more constructive comments are usually made, atleast in the 4-5 games beta phases I have participated in.

Jump, what killed jumpgate was poor product developement and the worst community relations I've ever seen in any MMPOG. Blaming the customer for not liking your product is the end for any business.

Sorry to pick on you Jump but I've seen the "Jumpgate went down because of the community" stuff from fanbois once too often. Any company that blames its customers for its problems will not survive.

I should have qualified that......but that's why I apologized for picking on you I've heard those comments from fanbois often "the community ruined the game". Once you begin to blame the customer for your product problems you are done for, as Jumpgate is.

And yet it keeps limping on and the quitters and whiners keep coming back to tell the ones still playing of it's immenent doom. No disrespect meant but if you don't want or intend to play please just stay away.

The game is still here and improving incrementally as time goes on. I won't claim to like every change (nearly all recent and proposed changes are in favor of the combat pilot) or how the game is run on a day-to-day basis (FMs and their destruction by RP events) but I still pay and I still play as much and as often as RL allows. I'd much rather see all the TRIC posters get back in the game and improve it from the inside. I understand some have technical or financial problems that preclude their current play, but if all you have to say is to spew negativity, just put it in your daily journal or your diary and leave it off of here please. I check out this and other forums to see what is going on, not why someone is not coming back.

I have always blamed 3DO. There has been nothing but struggle since. And people don't play games for struggles, they play to have fun.
