I would like to see more major role playing events created by players and without bugging them GM to get the ball rolling.
And it should not take ONE session to destroy an entire building. It should take days to do that. |

It's tough to measure things by days/hours when building have specific hit points and nukes do a certain amount of damage. Though I would really like to see the Sents lay off if there is obviously no one around to oppose them like in the case of Sol Core a couple weeks back where there are no Sol factionalists.

I'll have to agree with spork. It's completely cool that Sents/Conflux can actually be a challenge, and not just a diversion.
@Wild_Bill -- small groups of people impact large groups of people all the time. Think Al'Qaeda . . . and about a thousand other r/l examples. From my vantage point, Jumpgate will succeed or fail by become MORE player-driven. Building damage, Faction War, Military Missions, Econ Changes . . . all will point to more player dependency. Those who don't like this approach will fade away. The question is whether the new, more dynamic game, will appeal to enough people to replace the disaffected and actually grow the player base. |

The only way Jumpgate can make it, is by: adding more staff (devs and GM's), making it more noob friendly (read: tutorials), more content, updating UI and graphics followed by more advertising.
And Ambro is right. Giving players more options will lead to less boredom. However, that has to be applied to every player: pvp'ers, miners, haulers and etc. |

Ambro, I refer you to my second paragraph. I am well aware of RL issues. I pay and play this game for fun. Seeing hours/days/weeks of work going into building something only to see it destroyed in seconds or minutes by a small group of "in the loop folks" just irritates the hound out of me. Jealously that I don't have the time to become one of the "in-the-loop" people and dismay at so much work wasted, but neither feeling equates to "fun".
The biggest problem with the game at this time is lack of players. Running off the ones who remain seems kind of counterproductive to me, but I am just one small voice howling in a wilderness. |

Well if you want more content and more GM staffs workong on this game, start writing a lot of press releases over at other major gaming sites about this game. Because netdevil can not automagically hire new staffs for Jumpgate because they do not have the money to do so nor do they have the money to advertise this game. It's a tuff world out there.
Mention jossh.com and this site(which has some good resources or another site better than this if you have helpful information) as well if you want to pimp this game. Because remember, more online players is the main key it is up to the player to do the word of mouth. And yes, I would like to suggest that the GMs to stop doing sent attacks for every time a large group of players work on the faction mission so we can get the economy flowing again! Sent attacks are ok if it's a uncommon or a rare occasion. And yes, I would like to see more major player role playing like a large group of rebels want to nuke a factory or something like that, and them the GMs will respond to that. |
