I really have a hard time feeling sad for lamers like Balrog being nerfed out of the game. I should, but I don't.
I guess OV didn't like losing their wingmen either, but these things do happen. |

I figured I should just ignore this, but it's too juicy not to. I know your referring to me. And guess what? When you go out of your way to make the game not fun to play for a group of people (read:Quants) like I and other Quants were told that the goal of all the gankage was, to make us quit, you expect people to be nice and happy? I still pay because I love Jumpgate. But now when there is no fights and people are whining blah blah why is there no PvP? It wasn't the octs that quit. The sols are still here. I played for 6 months with dwindling numbers. No one ever made a quitting post. I watched people who loved the game dwindle off, because it was made unfun for them. I thought that would never be me. So if you want to know the real reason PvP died, it all goes back to the WoW. And no one will ever agree the other side is right out of pure ****ing arrogance and principle. Everyone's pigheaded ness killed PvP. I know Ill get the usual OV response of "Your dumb lets flame you lawl." I'm referring to Gent and the Quants and Al and the Octs. Ive said something to this effect to Gent several times. Yes the civ war killed PvP, yes Al could have ended the civ war by saying "Sorry." Yes Gent could have ended the civ war by just taking the moral high ground. Everyone is at fault for the state of PvP now. For civ tag abusing. For flaming. For laming. For intentional ganking at all times. For being arrogant pukes. |

I didn't go out of my way to do what is suggested. At the time OV came to the US server the propaganda machine was working overtime, as has been pointed out and proven many times.
I agree with much of what you said, Elmdor. Things could have been resolved, they were not. Many people have tried to take a cheap shot at OV, at me, since we have appeared here. Life sucks when we bite back. I didn't come to the US server to make friends(remember I have been here for years B4 EU demise, as Algore). I came here to make IC enemies. I'm not sorry if we perform better due to our time together. Maybe you should take a leaf out of my book, rather than try to burn it. Regards Al |

Elm, while that civ war was a mess -- and there's plenty of blame to go around for that -- I'd submit that PvP was "killed" because of player numbers. If all you do is fight the same group of people day after day . . . how long can that be fun . . . and how long can that last without things moving OOC?
