Question about Evo

Does anyone know why he can't post a question about Jumpgate here, and instead has to incessantly hound his IM friends until they post the question?

I have no idea why he is bashful about posting Jumpgate questions here. Seems to have no problem with ICQ though.

I'm sorry. My computer died and I don't feel comfortable installing messenger junk on the computers I'm using. Evo is used to me answering all his Jumpgate questions, because I in fact DO know it all. I guess you can just ask in PMs until I get my pc back up (which will be faster if anyone wants to send a new mobo/processor/vidcard my way).

Dude, didn't you just fix your mobo like a month ago? What the heck are you doing to them?

Well, I initially fried my mobo because I kept getting video lockups in city of heroes. Long story short I was playing around inside with it turned on. After 2 RMAs with ASUS and 1 with AMD I got it up and running for about 3 hours. I tried to go to sleep but it'd been a month and I just got my computer working again so I got back up to play. After about 20 minutes it died and wouldn't restart. I was tired of dealing with it by that point so I took it to a computer guy in town and told him to look it over and tell me what I needed to replace. He didn't tell me much (wasn't cool enough to pull the processor and pop it in another board or even test the ram) but he said the powersupply was smoking, the mobo was fried, and the vidcard had a thingie on it that had burnt up. I was able to RMA the powersupply, but ASUS and AMD wouldnt' bite again. At this point I got a case, a powersupply, probably a sound card, and hopefully some ram and a HDD. I'm sorely tempted (but undecided) to get a same slot mobo and try the old processor, though it might be better to just get new of both. All that is going to have to wait until I lose this part-part-time thing I'm doing and get a real jobby job.

Grim, if it helps at all, I still have my Matrox G450 dual-head vid card you could have for the cost of shipping it to you.

It ain't much, but it did maintain a stable 60fps in Jumpgate for the entire time I played.

[edit] I also still have a stick of ValueSelect 256MB 333RAM that I could stick in the box with the vid card as well if you could use that......
