Since I just recently resubscribed to Jumpgate I have a million questions about things I just can't remember or just never knew when I played. I hope this is a suitable medium on which to project my questions. If anyone else has questions then feel free to ask in this thread to keep them all consolidated.



I am trying to figure out what to do about the FF shortage.

(before I continue, I have been checking the TRI Production tool web based app in the tool shed down below and when I click on Aman/FF/Phosphorus I see (0) next to the word but the list of stations on the left shows an abundance of phosphorous at the TRI stations but the JGwebTracker shows zero around. I guess this tool is still buggy or the station inventories are not being updated on that tool)

So there is no Phosphorous and no Chemicals. What is the most efficient way to acquire these? Mine? and then what? I realize that Chemicals are produced and that I need Phosphorous to make Chemicals as well. Isn't that just special.

Lets say I had all the required materials for FF production. I have to sit and wait at Aman for 6 FFs every 6 minutes and hope no one scoops them up b4 I do? WTF?!?! Can we get a fricken custom producer down there at least where I have all the crap in my cargo and I fly through and it creates all the FFs and puts them in my hold? Who do I need to see to make this happen?


Where do I get deepradars?


What is the most efficient/helpful thing I can do to help the economy?
How do we get our econ back to thriving levels? Or is it possible. Seems like we must spend our lives mining in order to freshen the econ. Do the GMs realize this?

I'm sure I'll have more questions for later...

Ever since the return of the 1 use FF, Aman's FF output has been stupidly low, but noone has bothered to fix it yet. With the sudden spike in server numbers we'd be having FF problems even without the lack of ability to make FFs...

A CP is definitely not the answer. Besides marking up the price (less of a factor for FFs), CPs are a lot less efficient than the station. CPs work on a 1 to 1 basis of commod to equip exchange, where in Aman 1 phos/cesium/whatever can make more than 1 FF (I'm not familiar with the ratios, really), but it's something like 1 base element makes 6 FF, or somesuch.

If someone actually bothered to turn up the # per hour of FFs (apparantly too hard to do since the introduction of EP2), we'd be in the clear, economy notwithstanding.

Wait for the FM, or ask someone (like myself) who had a gatekey(s) in their locker, which has now become a deepradar.

It's not possible to return the economy to normal. It's designed to be the way it is now. The GMs (really, the GM) is aware that lives must be spent mining now, that's the point of the new economy. It should get even worse before it gets better, given that the Jumpgate universe still has lots of leftover items that people don't need to worry about yet.
Anyway, enjoy it, because that's the new way of life here. I'll just PvP until there is nothing left to fight with...which shouldn't be too long at our current rate.

Jump said he was doing some rework on the backend for all the tools. Read here. I'm sure it's related to that.

The Hyperial FM: What do I need to do? I understand I need to look at the missions, but are there brokers? Is anything set up via POS to stock materials needed?

Until Istvan figures out how he wants to spell Phosphorous (phosphorus) throughout JOSSH, it's really hard for tool developers to keep up with.
