OV is active thanks to Algore who did/does a great job of it. We average 4 to 6 people online almost everyday so, yes, its active allright.

It ll be a shame if you cant reactivate smegit tho, as I m sure, we all would like to see the friendly red dwarfer trotting about

Well, the friendy red dwarfer was a friend to all factions. The Dwarfers were TRI positive at the time, we were a multi faction squad so we had to be.

I remember a faction mission for quant. I was in deepest unreg and OV popped by in force. They said, "Smeg, do the Oct mission" and I said "OK, why not?" what followed were some of the best days I'd had in the game.

Allthough I am a quant by nature, the Red Dwarfer philosophy was quite different. We had a different notion to how the factions started (based around the Red Dwarf of course). The fiction page will explain more in good time. ;-)

Allthough it hard to get too deep, we were (and remain) basically drunkards with a space ship licence!
