Sentients
I'm curious about something and funnily enough its the perception of Conflux held by players of the former us server.
Now for me Conflux AND Sentients have been of great interest for me from day one. Ive always considered them as being of an anamalistic nature. Their differing forms evolving to fill differing niches in an environment that we can only guess at and their conflict with TRI as coming from their natural instinctiveness for a pure Conflux universe. And yet I feel as a legacy of the us server is that they are nothing more than ships. Military assets that are deployed into the field by some higher intellegance with military goals and aspirations. My own anamalistic view of the conflux I think is something that evolved on the former eu server and as that is my background it is something that I have absorbed. I realise that many here arent familiar with my own personal RP background, and thats no-ones fault but my own i guess, however I need to get past this road block that is sitting on my characters development and return to enjoying jumpgate as I did - something i will find hard to do if the conflux are "just" military assets held by and used by some deeper intelect. So, before I digress too far, the question is how do YOU perceive the conflux? As a purely military force or as something more anamalistic and deeper? |

I always liked the way the Conflux were implemented on the EU server, with at least 2 distinct "tribes", the so called "fluffy" Flux who rarely attacked humans (sometimes even helped them against their own kind) and almost ever only fought to defend themselves, and the "aggro" flux whose motto was the counterpart to vorlon31's: "All humans must die"
![]() People like vorlon31 and squads like New Dawn or Flux Clearance would probably have been in both tribes' bad books though. The "fluffy" flux were a good addition to Jumpgate's RP background; personally I miss being a (part-time) Flux Hugger. |
