Last Saturday,23.07.2005,beginning @17:00GMT,there were dropped by GM's nearly 30000 Flashfires at all,at Amanath and Barraks and other stuff at Hyperial ,'till arount 01:00.
What are the GM's aiming at???
You are only ruining the Game for the Tradersquads whith these Actions!

If these Actions continue,i will twice over doing an Subscribtion here!!!

It seems we have people crying about no equipment, people crying about hoarding, people crying about mining, and now, you guessed it, people crying about the GMs making their hoarding futile

Oh, and for the record, apparently hoarders are called 'Tradersquads'

Seems to be a misguided view of trader squads. How do GM's misbehave when they make the rules?

I speak of my own experience..... so no picking on squads.... servers.... players.

The EU server had the CP perduction.... something the old server didn't have/try.

As I see it, we have 2 server mentalities trying to be boss. The EU pos style.... to the US mining..

After a month of merging we seem to still learning how each other works.

Te EU had the no pod rules set in stone in the RoC. The US has had a self policing state.

From what i se, we ALL (note the caps) need to learn... and even play to our strenghts.... the 'US' (loose term) is used to mining as a requirement.... hey you have new miners and the forum has shown the new opportunity).

Hell to add to this... traders win for all squads......

Fights have new targets... both servers have targets... now we have targets that meet all/most time zones.

All we can do... is a) support Istvan and hope he see's where our game goes.

or b) bitch like little ****s and the hope we can win.

I want the world to live... I'vce been here too long, spent too long seeing numbers drop.

The new server offers all the chance to play.... pvp, fluxers, pro-fluxers( TN ya bitch), traders.... the game needs all of us. Say hi to all players... regardless of IC hate.... we need all of us to ensure we can play.

Not to forget that EU people are accustomed to quite different GM behaviour. AFAIK commodity or equipment drops never happened (and they weren't necessary given the nature of the EU server's economy).

@Radi I don't believe the economy really needs big fixes. Some minor adjustments in production rates would be quite enough IMO.

Just pointing out that most people on the forums have been complaining about the shortage of equipment lately, and when the GMs do something about it, the people hoarding stuff/overcharging complain. It's funny because someone will always complain

You just can't please everyone, that's the way of life... Most people believe that this sort of GM intervention was right though.

Anything that is a temporary solution is ok. It gets old watching a bunch of pig headed gamers squeal.

You don't need a lot of econ fix. You need stripper/hoarder fixes. If you elimiated the hoarding, I think you'd find the current econ would at WORST be a little bit thin.

Even with the huge FF dump, they are STILL disappearing! I freakin insane and I'm about to blow a fuse over it. I have less-than-zero tolerance for these hoarders, and they'll be KOS on my books forever once I identify them. I never believed in griefing people out of the game ... until now.

P.S. I believe intervention was necessary, but probably not handled in the best way. I would have simply ensure Aman was in full production for several days in a row (by dumping commods), but I'm sure there were other circumstances I'm not considering here.

I would rather see a GM dump (which fades away) as a temporary fix than to see CP's which is a more permanent bandage on an wound that needs to be sutured.

I might point out Ambro that it would be easier for you to find these hoarders if station owners names were published.

From what I heard, they started with commods and people hoarded them, some in published POS, some in un-published POS, neither displaying their owners name.

What you call "hoarding" and "stripping" used to be common playstyle on the EU server, where even single players used to have their own stations stocked with equipment that would enable them to re-equip quickly if died in battle or fell victim to killers, petals, roids etc.

Instead of threatening and whining, why hasn't anyone of you who complain about the hoarders and strippers written a short statement about how it is supposed to work on the US server? I'd gladly have translated such a statement and posted it on my own site; perhaps one could have convinced Istvan or Khronos to put it on the ingame MOTD page.

Whether you like it or not, it will never again be exactly as it used to. The old system of stocking TRI stations and the "immigrant" PoS markets and squad storage stations will have to find a way to coexist, and the sooner this happens - without one party permanently accusing the other of ruining their game - the better for all involved.

Because it's not my place to tell you how to play. I don't know how Istvan intends to it work, all I know is how it used to be, how it is now, why what you're doing is making the way it is now, and that I don't like it.

If you want to know how it used to work, here's the short and skinny:
People that like mining and whatnot make gear and stock QC, OP, and Wake (other stations secondary to those), usually just worrying about their own faction. People that don't like to mine and whatnot see the people that do and type /give 500000 every once in awhile to say thankyou for their being gear around. Then people that want to fight for Quantar can all be homed at the same place and defend the station. New players, players without squads, also have gear because they are at the main stations.
