TRI-C due to credit card errors?
I am so angry right now I struggle for words to describe it. I went to log into the game last night only to discover I was TRI-C. I send a message to pilot_support in an effort to find out "why?" and I'm told to contact jumpgate_billing. I do so. They tell me my credit card is expired. I tell them "No, none of my cards are expired. None of them expire this year". Then I'm told to go to the "commerce options" and change my credit card expiration info... but the stupid computer won't acknowledge I exist! It keeps telling me "no matching account found. change your information"
I CAN'T change my information because the bleeding computer won't let me. Then I try to post on JOSSH forums to discover THAT priviledge has been taken away as well. Now when I try to send e-mails to billing they go unanswered BECAUSE IT'S AFTER quitting time where the hell ever jumpgate billing is located! They don't even offer me a phone number where I can actually speak to an alleged human. This is not the first time I've had trouble with billing. Last time it was because I wished to change credit cards. It took me nearly all week to get it done but even then I still had JOSSH access. As it is, I can't even post. If I didn't love this game so much I'd tell them they could all kiss my scarred butt. ARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH H! The inhumanity of it all! ![]() edit:Well now I have to eat my own words *AGAIN*. When I went back to my e-mail account I found this in my "in-box". Billing: Could you please work with the below individual to straighten out his billing issue ASAP regarding his credit card. I have manually activated his account in the meantime. Mr. Newman is one of our longtime players and we wish to make sure his billing issue is address as quickly as possible. GM Thoth Jumpgate Support and Events NetDevil Ltd. * I haven't tried to access JOSSH yet, or get in game, but I have to say I'm very heartened by this response. Yes, but do they do that for the average player or just the long time player? They average player would most likely have given up and moved on. Like so many have.

Its nice to know the GM-Staff acurately do more than stroke their egos from time to time, so hats off to GM_T, but as Jump points out……………..

I find that everytime I have a problem or need something "sorted" for me an e-mail to support is all it takes. Sometimes I get a little impatient and just send Thoth an e-mail direct only to notice in my inbox an e-mail from Thoth telling me it has already been sorted.
It rarely takes more than 48 hours to get a response of some positive kind. I think Ambro is right, Jump is just a grumpy old man unwilling to accept change due to how things used to be". Regards Al |

All straightened out with billing company, back in game and on the forums. I know other folks have had less than wonderful experiences with GMs, both current and past, but even when dealing with the dread GM_Trogodor MY contacts were all at least professional if not entirely to my liking.
Jump, give 'em another try! Please. This game is just too good to give up on and more importantly, there's nothing better out there... yet. |
