Jump, did you decide to deep-six this because no one was using it? I was planning on starting to try an "pimp" it in-game, in JOSSH and in Darkspace Dispatch. I thing it would be great for the community to have a "public" TS.

He closed it down cuz ppl that he did not knew (probly playing another game) were mainly using it.

I think DE has their TS setup as public. You would have to check with R1 or Osp.

I shut it down because 50 peeps that are not members here where using it and using our resources without playing Jumpgate or being members of this community.

I can start it up again when it's going to be used by this community and I have a list of moderators to make sure this doesn't happen again.

It's back on, new password will be passed by word of mouth. I will need admins to moderate and kick any future TS pirates.

The fact that 50 peeps camped in there tells you it's a mighty fine server.

I doubt you could do that with a server hosted on a home system.

Hmmm ... well I guess it's can't really be a "public" server given the abuse problem.

Every time I checked it, no one was on. Oh well.

My thought was to try to make it a "voice" version of F5:chat -- but can't very well do that with a semi-private pw.

Use the Jossh Forums PM's for people to request an account, and create everyone there own account.
