I find it hilarious and quite offensive to suggest that only the econ team(really pains me to call them that) are helping the economy. I guess everyone else who is mining on the server and doing other equally as boring and laborious tasks is not helping the economy at all.

Also the PvPers don't help by making sure the equipment gets used!

I agree, check out the beginning of the WWS economy thread on the jossh forums. My point is that non-pvpers play too, perhaps even more of them than pvpers. While some changes would make your segment happy, they'd make the game un-fun for non-pvpers, so quick-and-easy solutions are usually messing up the game for someone else.

I'm playing my (still free) EU account atm.
Yeah, I had the compromised card prob, too. Give PBC a break, though (at least on this). If a card is declined when they try to tap it, what would you expect?

I would expect an email and a timeline to take care of the problem before the account was shut down. That's what I would expect.

Lots of people like to feel that they are . . . just ignore it.

You're right that Jumpgate started as a PvP game, but it's at its best when its scope is bigger.

GG, leave the POSs. Other than clutter, they are not a problem.

Al, this game is way more than just PvP and targets. I wasn't "there" during all the various betas, coming in near the start of retail. I've been here ever since though with no breaks other than two minor credit card snafus and 4 weeks in the hospital last year. I don't play everyday/night, but I play as much as I can as often as I can. I don't "do" pvp much or often, but I've had a lot of fun playing without it. If combat was really such a do-all end-all, the sim would be full all the time instead of pilots begging someone to sim with them. Pffft!

That said, there needs to be more fun in the game and less drudgery. I enjoy mining, but I don't want to do it all the time either. Or have to mine, refine and haul, just to produce something. I want to be able to make vast amounts of money on for-profit runs without worring I'm upsetting someone's economy strategy. I don't want to have to fly all over the universe to re-equip after a pod-ride. I work so I can play, no so I can play-work. I don't care for farms coming back, but there ought to be a way to make big profits in this game and currently, I don't know how you are supposed to do that without upsetting half the server.

I'm glad all the people from EU came over, except with the integration the only stat I'm in the top 100 is in number of deaths. Small price to pay to have more people. Hopefully most or at least many will stay after the free period is over. Perhaps more income would allow ND to hire more programmers and new content could be added more quickly.

Right now, the game play is frustrating and boring to me. I'll hang in there though. Hope the rest of you do too.

The thing is, if the econ team had a POS, this POS was stocked like a Core station but the price was the item+tax, then there is no loss for anyone. . . .
Except that you don't go back there when you die.

Public stations need to be stocked with "decent" gear. Now if you want to use private markets for rare commods or "special" non-critical gear, that's different. For example, Shepherds are now decent engines to fly with, so one might consider Guzzlers more of a "luxury" item for Quants. Perhaps Gators, too . . . and MorningStars, DeepRadars, and so forth. But flashfires and Duelists are not "luxuries" in Jumpgate today.

Perhaps they should be, you can use Bullseye and VTC in place of an duelist.
