Hell Dali, it wouldn't be any WORSE than what we currently have. Why not give it a chance and see what happens. 300 pilots in-game might be interesting.

The protests of "we know best" by the US server circle (Istvan included) has proven to be wrong by the low online pilot numbers before the merge and proven to be a dissaster after when they failed to listen to what the EU players liked about the EU server. Now Jumpgate has lost the majority of the those players and ending up with close to the same online player numbers before merge.
Its almost like they want low numbers just to save money on bandwidth bills. |

Indeed it did close down a while ago. But that was due to the licence running out and MG (EU server) deciding not to renew it, for what ever reason. However it was still way more popular and probably more profitable than the US server is or had been for many years.
The funny thing is, as bad as Themis was even they were better than the current in house support. If jumpgate was a chain I think we have found the weakest link. |

Personally, I think there could have been some changes made to tweak the current server closer to what the EU server had in some areas. I think the reason that didn't happen is because most times someone suggested something along those lines, they said:
This sucks make it like EU!!!11!! and didn't bother to explain how it worked on EU other than with vague generalizations. And that's just those of you that bother to make the vague generalizations. A lot of times all we got was "make it like EU!". That suggestion means nothing to me since I don't know exactly what it was like on EU. In fact, the GMs apparently have quite a bit of room to manuever as far as what is produced where and how, and what CPs and such are built. I have a feeling that Istvan doesn't know half of how it was on EU. My suggestion to you folks would be that when you make a suggestion you don't mention EU. Just suggest the change in detail. The only reason to mention EU in a suggestion is to get other people from EU to rant about how much better things were over there. That's the equivalent of me going to your house and telling you how much nicer my stuff is, and turns a suggestion into something rude. |

As for what was better about the EU server running Jumpgate under the MG team of GM’s/Opp’s vs. Thermis and its current in house team how long you got? |
