honestly, im playing a freelancer 24/7 rp server atm and the group/squad complexities make jumpgate's established histories look stupid.

Controling governments/planets/bases, organising and policing contraband items and structured pvp on the basis of player interactivity rather than adhoc... all interspersed with ai non player life... the lessons that could be learned are clear.

imo.

I play games to have fun, Jumpgate is not fun for me at the mo hence why im off playing EVE for a bit and going to look at V's freelancer mod.

There is only so long i can do the same thing with the same 20 people over and over and over and over and over again, just look a the new Sol FM, what a f****** Joke.

I’m not quitting and I know that pains you to hear Ambro I think all I said was that at this time Jumpgate isn’t fun for me at the moment hence I ‘am using my gaming time to find something that is. And TBO I cant remember the last time me and you were on and even if we are its not like our paths cross that often.

And may I ask why do you take every negative remark someone takes about Jumpgate ND or that cowboy outfit Thermis as a personal attack on you, even though I bitch and I moan like a old lady I still think Jumpgate is the best game I have played just that since coming to this server its gone so far down the swanie its in the sea already it isn’t the game it was and I do hope that ND pulls a white rabbit out of the bag or gets some one to run the day to day better and gives us something with some imagination and flair to get our teeth into.

That is very true and i really should listen more often and i cant rem, who it was

What would it take..

• Graphics update
• Sound update
• Real mission/quest system (go play wow or any other fantasy mmo for hints)
• Hyperial/Aman NPC faction
• Improved AI
• Enforce factionalism
• Get rid of individual POS, guild/squad pos only.
• Players decide story arc based on events in-game
• Space update. Make it to where guilds can explore and map unknown sectors
• Improved squad/guild tools
• Updated ship graphics with true damage visable externally
• Player owned mining bots
• Vastly expanded formulas/blueprints/commods for player generated equipment
• Player ran diplomatics between factions
• Player mounted defense guns on faction stations, i.e. damagable stations
• Capital ships.. carrier class, battlewagon class, etc.
• Player owned defense bots

The list goes on and on.. Jumpgate has always had the most potential of any game I have ever played.. that was never realized.

I think one of the appeals of eve over other space games is that it does cater for all gamestyles including hose who want to play safe, those who want a little risk and those who want lots of risk - without condemning anyone for their choices.

Jumpgate on the whole just doesnt do that. The only place in Jumpgate you can be guaranteed not to be shot at is docked and that aspect will always limit its appeal somewhat and when your talking about bums on seats behing pc's actually playing. The more appealing you can make the game to all game styles the better in my opinion, as 1 style will lead onto the next and then the next etc...
