At times Nic(Zaltys to you noobs) thinks he knows stuff about Jumpgate.
I think you just put him in his place Lordo, with your superior misunderstanding of his last post. Regards Al |

Nic? Not equal Nicator surely? One of the best players I personally met (IRL).
But as for infinity, lacking in detail. Newtonian flight model anyone? Just give me JGs graphics update and I'm back! Smeg |

I think Lordoptic had a good point in that a crappy game like Eve, does indeed have a better goal type system. Something to work toward, something to achieve.
Lets face it, the players have always made the RP and storyline in Jumpgate. Because, quite frankly the mission system in Jumpgate is the suck. "Go mine x", "Go kill x flux", blah blah blah. With the lack of players in a game that is player driven, you get problems like not having anything worth while to do. That is why on my list, I had a better mission/questing system. Jumpgate could really take a page out of something like WoW, Everquest, hell even Earth and Beyond had a kick ass questing system. Anything would be better than what Jumpgate has currently. |

Agreed, alph. Things like instances in CoH or WoW, where there is no consequence to your winning the instance, kinda annoy me, but some kind of massive expansion of the faction mission system, where you could get a choice of and perform missions that really change the universe, that told you if the mission you were taking might annoy anyone (and thus put you in danger), that let you work towards a particular *cause* - that would be awesome.

I haven't taken the time to work out the details, but off the top of my head, your mission is cleared once his timer runs out. Your mission doesn't have to be that specific though, it could be as simple as "Scan all ships entering Omni V between 5 minutes from now to 20 minutes from now " or something
