No. I saw Tez lose plenty. It usually just took a few people. Regarding 1:1 with Deranged at 0% shields ... I guess it was "any given Sunday."

This reminds me of the good old days before I had fought Misku and thought that Misku was a dangerous opponent!

Re: What is your favorite Jumpgate Classic Ship?

Tesrend was a great leader, I will give him that. His 1v1 skills were average though, like many quants at the time he wasn't good at a FF circle so I was always able to get the angle on him and expose the fat underside of the phoon making it easy to hit without a Duelist. Unfortunately for quants most of their ships suffered from rather large profiles making them very easy to hit without a duelist, especially if you equipped a Spore to get chain fire. 'Nix also had a the great advantage of being dark making it hard to see in the background, or at least that is what I thought when I fought against them.

Yes, that is/was one of the hard parts about fighting the nix. But if it was that much of a hassle, the .bmp files in the Jumpgate folder were always there for editing purposes

Re: What is your favorite Jumpgate Classic Ship?

1on1 the 'Nado is a poor substitute for the IJ Nix. I can hit 90-100% of the time against a nado. It's huge and it's fricken dayglo green! You don't even need a duelist, and you can use that slot for an extra FF if you want.

The IJ Nix is king of the brawlers, providing you have good aim.

The phoon is a great ship also, and I had good success in it. However, I prefer the tempest. I was flying the tempest even before the LF/MF patch. It's got a great profile and is decently manueverable. Plus, it comes from the factory with a spoiler on the back. You don't need to spend any more for the 'sports package'. =)

Look at my sig. that's me in my pre-patch 'pest hanging out at Oct Depot, about to gank the hell out of some Octs. =)

Re: What is your favorite Jumpgate Classic Ship?

I've decided that I have a new favourite Jumpgate ship.

The Dragon.

Why? It forced me to innovate in a quest to figure out how to beat it in a ship like the Typhoon, which led me to learn how to 2-axis FF whore, and that turned out to be my crutch in PvP ever since. Without 2-axis FF whoring (which works on everything, not just dragons) I could never have lamed my way up to an above positive kill ratio!

So thank you Dragon, best ship in Jumpgate!

Re: What is your favorite Jumpgate Classic Ship?

You shouldn't have to use FF's to circle a Dragon.. it's like the slowest ship in the game.

Ion Phoon and ion Phoon+ (aka, ion Intruder).

Interestingly, they're also the ship my enemy would most like to see me in due to how easy it is to kill them when they're not flown like a total pansy afraid to die in a video game.

I wonder who that is referring too. /sarcasm.

Re: What is your favorite Jumpgate Classic Ship?

No need to wonder; I paint with a broad brush here. I've flown both with and against TONS of pilots (in all manner of ships) who at the first sign of trouble are always docking in their POSes or deepspacing or /q-ing or always flying in the rear of the fleet or otherwise being an all around pansy.

Right, I must've forgotten that part.
