Hence I added "at least never when I were in power".

You could ask around and see how many bans there were for civing when I took over. Only bans issued were for cheating and perm banned accounts trying to come back with new names. I'm not having a go or something, just that things been bent over and over on forums and by word.

How to leave the Planet:

1. Phone NASA. Their phone number is (731) 483-3111. Explain that it's very important that you get away as soon as possible.

2. If they do not cooperate, phone any friend you may have in the White House - (202) 456-1414 - to have a word on your behalf with the guys at NASA.

3. If you don't have any friends at the White House, phone the Kremlin (ask the overseas operator for 0107-095-295-9051). They don't have any friends there either (at least, none to speak of), but they do seem to have a little influence, so you may as well try.

4. If that also fails, phone the Pope for guidance. His telephone number is 011-39-6-6982, and I gather his switchboard is infailible.

5. If all these attempts fail, flag down a passing flying saucer and explain that it's vitally important you get away before your phone bill arrives.

Hello mate

Were some whiskey last night, just to forget that it was x-mas. We celebrate it the 24th in Sweden. But this is more of a beer season at the moment. Got about 100 beers left

I do realize what you're saying. But don't see total number of bans as being the entire story - if people didn't break the civkill=griefkill=ban "rules" then they wouldn't get banned...just like if Algore could keep his mouth shut, he wouldn't either. Just because people don't break the rules doesn't mean the rules are "good".

Before you spring to EU's defence, I'm aware that I exaggerate the EU Rules with reference to "civkill=griefkill=ban". But it was still the prevailing attitude of many players when I played over there.
PS, when were you in "power"?

Well, like it's any news to anyone that I were GMAzazel.

Ok, perhaps to some. But majority know/knew who I were. So it's better that I give it away, instead of some rumour.

...and of course I know the rule that said "civ kill someone and you're banned". Thing is still: Did I ever use it? I read the mails I had on the issue, I wanted to hear both sides of the story... I also made some posts on the forums that mentioned that I would loosen the grip on the rules, also I tried to re-write the whole ROC. Too bad we lost the server before it went into reality as GMToast and I really tried to brake that thing in part totally. Together with OP-Sabre, OP-Zaphod and OP-Chilli.

I always tried to make pilots solve their problems in space, not on forums or mails to me, something like it's always been done on US. But it was hard work... and I was called biased when I didn't ban.

For the record, I screwed around in TBH around during the reign of Toast as a GM (and not an operator)

It wasn't bad, but if I had to stock and finance myself I would have had a miserable time of it. Whoever thought up the "CP Economy woot" should be shot.

Happens again and there will be bans around here too. You'll find out what kind of an ******* I can be when provoked.

Now, back to the respectful debate.

I wub freedom of speech
In my exp those experienced pvp OP/GM were out of date not so experienced OP/GM biased little mofo's with alterior agendas that got their asses licked too freely, privately, and regulary in order to make a genuine unmotivated, independant judgement.
People throw enough **** some will stick.
Those guys that knew stuff about pvp were second rate who applied to be in the OP team to feel important. No offence but you know I'm right.

Regards
Al
