Other pilots will loose their arty-kits if a account is transfered from eu to us. nevertheless, the biggest problem will be the lack of any rules on the us. this will lead to a civkilling-spree which can kill the game again. i dont think thats it possible to run a Jumpgate-server without any ooc-protection for traders and miners etc.. thats a big gap between the us and the eu community. even so i wasnt lucky with the EU-roc, we still need some kind of limititation of pvp. otherwise all the traders will be gone soon.
I totally agree with king , but the Us Gm´s should take care that pilots witch are banned on the EU server should not have the possibilty to join the US server. If these ppl will be able to come over here with their Multi accounts and their brainless urge to destroy everything only to get their killstats satisfied , then buddies .. they will kill the US server faster then u´ll ever belive it.Pilots like PillePalle, luke , octus should not have the right to continue their dumbness on an other Jumpgate server , banned on EU should mean banned on US.This and the billing issues should be solved 1st , solving the diffrent RP could be done later , durinng the game.If my 2 dozen Arti tensy/mf sets could be saved it would be nice , but if not .. it wont be too bad for me.What is much more important for me is that the stats/Credits will be overtaken here .. so that i do not have to re-work it all.

Yepp. That`s the Problem. Just talked about all this with my m8`s of SolrainKnights on Jumpgate-EU (Factional Squadron). We agreed upon playing on US if Themis can manage the migration of at least one account. Thing is: most of us are playing Jumpgate for years and we don`t want to start from the bottom again.

Losing my various Pos`s doesn`t bother me but losing the money and stats will do. That means losing an overall of 700.000.000 credits cash and i don`t want to do all the work of 3 years again. So it would be nice to transfer at least 1 account over to US to have a start over there.

Greetings from south-western germany to all members of JRF.

rofl

PillePalle and Luke both have accounts over here already. They were both incredible pilots and a lot of fun to fly with. I haven't talked to either of them in a long time though (I think I still owe Pille like 9 Euros rofl).

Anyway, you guys are getting to worried about our "lack of rules". There are in game methods to deal with civ rippers and such. Escort your cargo ships, go hunt bountied pilots do something about it, don't just cry out until the pilot causing trouble gets banned.

The US server has had it's problem pilots in the past and some of them have been banned while others have just been hunted constantly.

I just hope the pansyish PvP attitude of some (not all) EU pilots gets left behind if this happens.

uhmm .. dumbness found its way to the US , well they are less incredible if they wont got arties for free and if they wont backuped by multiacc , i ll probably hunt em down anyways. In addition i want to point out that your brain looses cap if u r going to talk to them

Hmm. Is this Luke from the EU the same Luke that was over on the US server for ages, flying primarily as a Quantar factionalist (well, also anti-Quant factionalist, in LAWNMOWER)? Or is it just a coincidence of similar names?

If they're the same person, I don't recall that Luke being skillless on non-arty ships, unless he's drastically gotten worse from when he was regularly on the US server.

Bottom line is that there will be "good apples" and "bad apples" in every basket. We can';t get overly worried about that. What I believe is CRITICALLY important, is that everyone loses the "us" and "them" tags real fast -- and make this all "us." We all flew together as one server in the long-ago (beta) past, and it was a blast.

Our new players have to understand that they will have to adjust a different style. And the players who have been here have to be open-minded about adopting some new styles.

Just remember, the effect will not be to double the online numbers during what had been our "prime time" (8p-12p ET) . . . the primary effect will be to extend the prime time backward 6-8 hours. Unfortunately, it will not instantly catapult us into a scenario with 150+ online at any one time.

But I'm convinced that the pain our EU brothers are feeling can ultimately been a very "good thing" for Jumpgate. Hopefully NetDevil and Themis can find a way to minimize the pain and maximize the gain.

Careful guys, I'm pretty sure Sephiroth is the last Griefer wannabe left. Oh wait, there's Toph too

Ambro, you should make ...ALL the issues of Darkspace Dispatch (and membership at JSR) a requirement for those coming over.

Well, I'll be doing my best to get folks to "understand" -- whether they choose to listen or not . . . who knows?

What I think needs to happen here is RP to integrate the servers. That will be so very important to many. Maybe the EU folks can be Prisoners that the flux have held, and now have been freed to return home and reclaim their place. *Shrugs*
