In the past, it was MG policy to make life hard on people by restricting raw goods, forcing people to get raped on CP manufacturing, and shutting down farms, etc. As a result the EU economy has been classically weaker than US with less cash and equipment floating around.

Interestingly, there has been a bit of a role reversal. Now US makes life hard on people by forcing people to mine for everything, and trying to produce stuff with what little resources exist means that little is produced. At the same time, the "fun" restrictors on the EU economy have been removed with the withdrawl of the CP system and the incredibly low base production rates. This situation is only a few months old, though.

The big "unbalancing factor" was the arti duping thing. But that never created cash, just the usual EU artiship fest.

If they're the same person, I don't recall that Luke being skillless on non-arty ships, unless he's drastically gotten worse from when he was regularly on the US server.
No, they're talking about -Luke-, aka, "fake" Luke. Nazgul Luke was the "real" Luke. He was a decent pilot, but nowhere near as good as the real Luke. He got banned awhile ago...I think I was still flying on EU when that happened, or at least I still had access to the TBH boards.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up.

Doncha just hate all that stupid non-alphanumeric "decoration" character stuff, sometimes? :P

(Sorry, Jump, for me that includes the decorations around MACK, too. Ditto GOD.)

There are many peeps from Jumpgate-EU willing to switch to US-Server. But nearly everyone is asking for a way to transfer at least one account and the money that acc owns not to start again from the beginning.

So i think if ND can manage that migration thing you`ll have different new squads on your server. My squad SolrainKnights will switch together too then and our Boss is preparing everything over there since he is also on US for quite a while.

Let`s hope the best and maybe cu inspace soon.

Just thought I'de pop in and say Hi :-). I agree with what seems to be the common opinion. As long as Stats can be carried across, i am more than happy to change, and for a fresh challenge.

I hope everything can be sorted out, which we leave as many people as happy as possible. Hope to me flying with you all soon, and seeing how my Nix holds up on the other side of the pond

That's a great idea and the best one I've heard. It would certainly have a huge positive impact on the number of EU players that activate on the US server if stats and money tranfers were allowed. They might even be able to transferr goods stored in depot lockers without too much pain. POS tranferr wouldn't work for obvious reasons. One issue though.....what is MG's incentive to spend resources working with ND on doing this (besides good will)? Would be great if they could work this out....might even bring back enough excitement to encourage some US veterain TRIC pilots to return.

Wow, I'm very pleasantly surprise. They are implementing the best of all possible solutions.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

(I'm joking, of course. )
