Well with the new announcement from the MG forums of looking at transferring pilot accounts that have been active the last month( presumably not the final month of the EU server)... then they should have a good list of details to send to Istvan.

This should hopefully mean they can see if names are duplicated, and contact inactive EU and US pilots regarding pilot names.

There is an upside, for reasons I can't remember the Eu was limited to 9 character pilot names, so hopefully this will mean if there was a DeadZombie ( it was there last year but i didn't use the US account) then that won't affect my DeadZombi EU stats being sent over.

But hey, it's all in the hands of the GMs... and even though they are unpaid volunteers, I'm sure they want to ensure it goes smoothly. Hell, would you dedicate all your time to something if you weren't commited to the job?

Mmm the glass is now empty, time to fall asleep before finding myself sober....

Personaly Id like to see a migration of all the stats inc. cash, flux kills, gunshots fired, pilot kills etc.

Pos's can be liquidated - ie stock sold, ships sold etc and then with the cash being transfered it wouldnt be long or too hard to rebuild new pos's.

hmmm, that's certainly better than nothing but it would be nice if they give any pilot that's been active within the last year or two the transferr option (maybe limit it to 26 and ups for anyone not active in the last month). It would make sense that many who haven't played in a while might be enticed to come back and check out the US server. I'll bet a lot of TRI-C's would be interested in checking things out during/after the transferr. Hell, the more the better!

I think they should do a dead account wipe like they did over here. Such as, get rid of all the low level accounts that have not loged on in years. The 0 levels that never loged on, etc. Then merge all the rest over.

It's not really fair that a pilot that flew on the US server 2 years ago can come back at any time and an EU pilot can't. IMO

Yeap, would be nice to see all pilots migrated. Chances are they want to set up a quick and easy process to transfer the most active pilots, such as those logged on in the last month. Less data meaning less mistakes, and less time used on the initial migration.

That should make it a less stressful task on Istvan for adding the data, MG for sending the data, and of the pilots to keep flying and not having to wait to meet you all.

Another guess will be that they will send a copy of the MG pilot database to ND so if pilots that do want to migrate, the information will be there to be added to Active status. The benefit of this is that it won't clog the current roster with more TRI-C accounts..

But all this is educated guessing, it will be up to Azazel and Istvan to work out the fine print.

And as Vorlon said, the POS stuff can be liquidated and new POS set up once we see what POS are already in space.

the more the better should be the goal of the transfer!

Lets hope that the transfer can attract a lot of old and inactive players to take a look into jumpgate!

BTW: QSSP will move to the US-Server. We wont have the numbers that we have on EU. But it will still be enough "to server and protect" Quantar!

FWIW, there are, as I've heard it, considerations of plans to clean out some of the account cruft, starting with rank zero pilots who've never connected, with several other options if that isn't sufficient.

Well cuz the whole Luke thing is confusing me and I dunno which one I knew I'll just leave him out of the argument...

PillePalle on the other hand was an awesome pilot and a lot of fun to fly with and a good guy in general. He hasn't played in a long time and I haven't talked to him in about a year.

Anyway, I really liked him. I think I'll see if I can get him to resubscribe on the US :P

I say the more players the better. Let them keep their creds, medals, and level. I'd love to fly with TexMurphy again. Waking him up at 3 am Swedish time on TS was the highlight of my Jumpgate experience.

I'm still annoyed with TG management, although I've had nothing but good experiences with Khronos, Omega, and I know Raz is a good guy.

And although anger lasts as long as you let it last, Nova "Moll" Barlow has a way of keeping a person angry for a long, long time...
