About This Page About This Page: This is a discussion on Why are there no Solrain factionalist squads? within the Jumpgate Chat forums, part of the Jumpgate TRI Discussions category, at Joystick Required Forums. Well, maybe because they MIGHT shift some devs from AA project to Jumpgate. ND cares about Jumpgate. If they didn't, they would have shut it down long time ago.

I don't see why anyone with any sense would devote signifigant resources to this game.

Since AA is an MMO presumably they will retain lots of people for patchwork etc.

And yeah, the flux/warfare stuff is starting to feel like the EP2 bs. I guess that's why I try not to excite myself about it...

So what's left then? Slow death or sudden shut down?

Hope! Without it, there is no reason for anything.

I have to agree with something Jump says here. I really did lose intrest myself when they nerfed the TOW for alot of the same reasons he states.

It was a very versitile ship for all factions and it made for a large fast transport after the freighters came out.

If you had to haul copper it was easier to do it in a freighter and didnt take as long.

If you had to haul grain you would use TOW because it wouldnt take as long.

Certain missions for certain goods would be the deciding factor on what I would use based on time. I was rather miffed when they took that option away from me and from what else Jump has said I can see others were to.

Another problem that has plagued Jumpgate is that everyone gets mad and angry out of character. That's the death of any game.

Make friends out of character, fight in character. Got it?

PvP generally does not breed friendships. This is absolutely not new.

You're confusing it with immaturity.

Dont misunderstand my appreciation of Istvan, he has brought more good and valuable stuff into Jumpgate than it had to start with. The good stuff however is quickly absorbed, accepted and taken for granted (which is probably a shame - but human nature). Then theres the stuff that was taken out, no-one (outside of a closed loop of people) saw it coming and it had a large detrimental imact on the game, the tow nurfs were one of these things.

Far better imo would have been to lessen their cargo capacity by 100, the speed adjustments just dont work in any way other than to have removed what was the most versatile and popular form of ship from daily use and the HM the simply took its place almost as a direct replacement to the further detriment of the tow.

I used to complain about how solrain does not have a faction.

If solrain faction being non-existant, due to ships not worth flying, why don't someone post this in the JOSSH forums?
