Why are there no Solrain factionalist squads?

It's really amazing to me that Sol factionalists are nowhere to be found. Sol Navy/Solicidial disappeared, MACK dispersed, DragonEye imploded, 3rd Battalion faded away . . . and it seems that other attempts to form Sol squads have just never gotten traction.

Solrain has no PvP, no mining, no hauling . . . after having been the dominant faction for a fair amount of time. Has the game changed or is this purely circumstance?

Tensity and Tow Nerf.

That's about as plain as one could put it.

Nobody signs up for Sol Factionalist duty because there are no Sol Factionalist Squads.... There are no squads, because nobody signs up for duty...

When I left blue space to rediscover my Quant heritage, most Sols at that time felt all was lost. It's not easy recovering from such a setback as that. One way that ND could help with that though, is to make MS's mountable on the Tens, and make FF's refillable

US PvPers are gone, and EU shortly before the server went down had mostly nonexistant Sol PvP side.

*shrug* Color me unsuprised that the trend has continued.

But yeah, it's weird to have no Solrain after the years of an EEA style balance where it was Sol v All. PvP wise it's Quants v All now.

Ships are better balanced than they've ever been since retail.

They actually achieved it without directly nerfing the tens as well.

Well DE was fairly active before and shortly after server merge. They were no PvP squad tho. But after the war between OV and DE started, they just simply stopped flying.

Yep. Most other US PvPers have vanished since the merge as well.

Ain't it fun?

I find it humorous that after a side losses the ability to MS spam,FF,FF,FF,FF, to get a kill and then laugh about it. They all disapear. Sounds like a bunch of folks got upset they cant own and left.

Buncha spoiled brats if you ask me.

These are all lies and propaganda spread by the evil Quantar and Lowly Octavians. Even now, the mighty Solrain Empire is driving out the evil green and red invaders. By morning it is expected that they will surrender to the mighty and victorius Solrain forces.

Seriously though it is a good question and one difficult to answer. Solrains strengths were manifold in the past but now there is nothing particularly strong about the faction. The ships ballancing is something I will leave alone other than to say I dont feel they are particularly well ballanced - be they better balanced now than in the past? For Oct and Quants yes.

Ive been toying with making a pvp account and all I can say is that it Wont be solrain, it will however most likely be Quantar for the pest alone.

Well, yeah. Solrain has always had the uber ships of death, so any positive balance changes will have nerfed or proxy-nerfed their ships into line.

Gone are the days when a clueless noob could hop into an alpaa cuda or tensy and rape 3 modx +20k mass nixes at OP all day long.
