With all the talk about World of Warcraft here and the extreme opinions associated with it (and I thought Democrat/Republican battles were fierce!), this screenshot really made me laugh. Enjoy.

I hope Jumpgate Evolution's HUD is easier to change then Jumpgate Classic. Not that it was hard, there just weren't that many options and it took quite a bit of effort to customize.

Scorch

We use flash files for the UI so it should be simple to change if you know how to use flash. Its also much cooler for making the UI.

...uh... what's a "flash file"? There are only two things I know of that use the word "flash" in their description. One is for turn signals and the other is for some old guy in a rain coat. I'm figuring from context that a "flash file" is an entirely different third catagory.

It's a type of programming format for creating interfaces that's very flexible. It's often used in web-based applications.

However, the average player is not going to be able to create their own Flash file so I don't know if it's a good idea or not. Unless there is a Flash interface to select HUD's from a directory which will then be presented in Flash, that would be cool. But if you need to create a Flash file to change it then that will mean only those that are proficient in Flash will be able to create them.

Meh. The average player can't create a HUD in WoW either and it doesn't use flash. THere are enough people with the skills to do it that it wont matter.

Wikipedia is better for learning about general stuff then Google is. I keep my Google Toolbar set to Google search and I keep my FireFox search bar set to Wikipedia.

A google search for 'flash' would bring you to the wikipedia entry for Flash, third link down. It'd also bring you to the flash homepage, download links, and several tutorials for flash.
