Wow?
Was the WOW event this weekend?
How did it go? Everyone griping about it as usual or was it a successful event? Was there any PIE? I'm sure the whole mess in the Gulf put a damper on peoples moods and may have restricted many from playing. |

More griping than usual because the teams were even more imbalanced than in the past. This led to an alliance which led to even more griping, but made it more bearable for those not on the uber team. Then it ended in a several hour long crazy sim-like launch/gank where both teams were /homed from the same station (until it ran out of gear then moved to the next station). Don't ask why we didn't just move it to the sim...we were crazy, but it was the most fun aspect of this WoW. Thus, WoW began on a sour note, middled nominally, and ended excellently.

I played Sunday night and Monday evening in "Masque" after getting back from vacation.
Was a good giggle, pity about the team selection, but good to speak and make friends with guys I hadn't spoke to before as usual. Regards Al |

Strange WoW.
It wasn't all bad, as spork pointed out. Although the KHLL thing nearly balanced the teams, and by allying and co-homing were eventually able to sometimes fight EE to a standstill, it did mean EE couldn't possibly win any events. *shrug* Such is life. The teams could have been much, much more even. And KH really needs to go. |

I'm not sure if I'm jaded but the first couple of WoWs (2 and 3 for me) were the most fun. Since then it seems there has not been as much balance and not nearly as much TS goofiness. In the earlier WoWs you had more "enemies" and flying with them and getting to know them was a large part of the fun. Now that player numbers have tended to reduce the numbers of "enemies" to one or two squads -- and since one has typically already gotten to know these folks -- the novelty of that part of WoWing has worn off.
It will be interesting to see what happens to numbers. It seems to me that there's always a post-WoW lull and a net loss afterwards as hard core PvPers lose interest in the limited conflict availability outside of WoW. |

Again for those that didn't read my rambley post....the alliance thing started when we were deepspaced looking for that damn POS........ there were only like 6 of us on... and since we were using the same TS server.. it was real easy to bump up a few people from the LL channel...... it made looking for that damn thing a lot more bearable..... and later.. it made getting ganked a lot more bearable too. I think it's safe to say that EE didn't really try to win that POS event
The last 3 hours and the 3 hours after WoW ended were indeed the best for sure. I'm honestly suprised and glad that the server hung on over the weekend.... about 4 a.m. Tuesday morning it started it's burping/kicking thing it likes to do. So when's WoW 7? |

KH has never, ever won.
I'm proud to have led EE to victory, tho i should accredit most of the actual winning to OP_Thor (don't know his tag on EU) and Liet. KH is always a bit screwed. The drawing of the teams is a bit fubar. A winning team is one that LOGS IN. Choose leaders that will log in. Sephiroth will always care more about his stats. If you ever do have a wow7 ask that the team-drawing process be made transparent so people can make it fair. make the side that gets the 1st pick get KH. |

The bit that made me quite amazes was when you and SS engaged me(in Masque) and Yok in ROQ. SS as usual went for the jugular while you approached and flew through totally non committed. SS as a result got a bit shot up and had evade. You then came back to approach me when I sent Yok to ff down SS. I could tell from your approach at full shields and armour that you were more interested in trying to work out where you were going to run to rather than engage. As a result you were armoured and immediately ran away as you passed me barely firing a shot. Meanwhile SS just failed to kill Yok by like 1 shot. Someone less interested in t |
